MC gets transmigrated to Murim world and became the strongest, got transported back to earth keeping his power. However the earth was invaded by a RPG system, with dungeon portals, monsters and humans gaining RPG system & abilities.
Love the setting, especially with an overpowered MC with a cold and calculated personality. He does warm up later and adopts the cool, cryptic persona which is kinda disappointing. A decent amount of action to be had but could really use more. As usual, MC intentionally hides his powers, in retirement mode all that and he doesn't want to draw attention. Though he becomes a guardian of sorts. Ends up adopting various quirky characters into his family. The characters add life to the story and the family dynamics are entertaining. Besides them, the other side characters feel more like fillers, sadly. They're interesting enough that you'd wish they had more screentime.
This manhwa has a lot of slice of life comedy but maybe too much. The running gags eventually gets in the way of the storytelling. Most readers are more interested in the battles, the world building, the main story and the relationships too, not repetitive humor. It becomes so bad that we're 4 seasons in and we still don't know what the hell is going on in the main plot while most side stories(romances, relationships, rivalry, gov plots, other guild relations etc) hardly get touched on. You literally get 2 chapters of plot progression, only having to grind through 8 chapters of lame slice of life humor before reaching the next plot point. The good stuff takes up a measly 20% of the manhwa.
This would have been a solid manhwa if author stops spamming and reusing the slice of life comedy skits, it gets really stale. And most importantly, actually focus on pushing the friggin plot and side stories, those are the best parts. The humor & slice of life, you really need to tone it down a lot, author-nim.
