and i like them with female leads that are NOT all super girly, boy-crazy, obsessed with getting a boyfriend, damsel in distress, super annoying types, and is super timid and cant speak her mind

the female lead should be strong minded, doesnt care about appearances, is considered unpopular/average/ordinary/etc , isnt obsessed with romance

I Second Boku no Kan de Bansan wo

Since you like Amano Shinobu you should check out Wasureyuki (Amano Shinobu) which really showcase why Amano is such a great storyteller.

Akuma ga Kitarite This has some of the storyteller elements you might like. Again Sweet.
Flower Crown (YAJIMA Toki) This is also a sweet one.
Hitomi kara Destiny The One-Shot that made me notice Tsukuba Sakura
Shiro no Keiyaku This is the best one of the One-Shots.

My favourite collections are either Nanairo Sekai or Sukima Shiki (I'm kind of in love with YUMEKA Sumomo and anything she writes.)
Aaand Sugars (YAMAMORI Mika) is pretty sweet. (Get it? Lol.) I'm a bit of a sucker for themes so. I don't think all of the heroines fit your request but there are some good ones in there. I especially liked Banana Pancakes.
Toro Really lovely short one. SAITOU Ken has a bunch of other great oneshots written.
I love ANDO Yuki and she's written lots of awesome oneshots, so you should check that out. Akai Michi is very lovely, with a very rational protagonist.
Kanojo no Namida ga Yuki da Toshitara Both of the stories are rather bittersweet.
Ningyo ga Fuchi and Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o I also really like.
