Hard to say, what would your matriarchal society look like? I mean I don't know where you live, but woman aren't lower rank citizens here in Germany, so I can't really imagine what world you are thinking of.

Depends on how this lower rank citizenship manifests itself. If it means men lost their right to vote or manga demographics were limited to shoujo, josei and yaoi, that would be a problem. If it just means a loss of prestige, I could live with that.

The idea is not that women are of lower rank now, it's that you wake up and suddenly you live in a sexist society where women rule everything and being a man makes you less worth.

Lol, I'm not comparing it to any country. I just said, what if you woke up in such a world, since women were lower rank citizens in the past of the Western world. So, this is a question/what-if situation directed at Western society, since men always ruled in the past (as in before the twentieth century). How would it be if it was the reverse?

If this happened I would not be happy about it. I believe that men an women should be equal. But unless this interfered with my life I probably wouldn't try to do something about it. I am too lazy to use my time for something like that, I'm too busy with my life.

I just live my life Doc. Besides, there are few men who stand for womens rights anyway. I'm guessing there would be few women who stood up for mens rights if this situation ever happened. 🤣

A world with equality would be too good to be true. I highly doubt it will ever happen. So I just go with the flow.

Well, if i one day i was in modern day society and the next i wake up in a one where men are lower ranked and all, first of all i would be to the say the least discontent.. i would probably try to prove them wrong ( try to distinguish myself somehow as one at least equal ) using what abilities i have.. i dont feel like being dominated.. i guess i'd try to rebel or smth))

this reminded me of one polish ( i think ) movie where two guys found themselves in a society of only women..

Women can't rule the world when men control politics. Women have not achieved the same equality as men still in this society as of now. Closer than before but not 100% equality.

Not sure if women would want a matriarchal society since we know how hard it is to fight for equality and to have a matriarchal society contradicts our efforts to achieve equality. It wouldn't hurt to be in a matriarchal society so the men knows what it feels like to be not equal.

The majority of men were also lower rank citizens compared to the higher ups in the past.
Well if politics would only be administrated by woman in the future I would simply wait and look what would happen. If the system works good and when it crumbles it's time to make changes.
It wouldn't change too much anyway, woman aren't better humans than man, so there would still be wars and such.
