I'm looking for mangas that have a outcast sort of main character. I've looked at the categories for both outcast and social outcast, but I didn't see one that really that caught my eye.

I'm not really sure how to describe it, but in list form, these are what I am looking for:
-The main character (preferably male) is outcasted by his/her family (preferably) and/or friends.
-The main character is an illegitimate child from an important family
-OR The main character omes from a poor family and the family cannot afford to keep the child (main character).
-The main character is neglected.
-The main character tries his/her best to be accepted and goes through many trials.
-The love interest of main character is/was either hateful towards the main character in the beginning, but later comes to love him/her or is able to empathize with the main character.
-You, the reader, find yourself pitying the poor character and find yourself cheering him/her on.

I say main character, but it could be one of the main characters' companions as long as they play a big part and aren't a minor character (only appear in a couple chapters).

Any genre is fine except shojo ai/yuri, ecchi, harems/reverse harems, and hentai. (ecchi is fine if the story is good enough to look passed it). I do not want overly shoujo art manga (ex. big sparkly eyes). Preferably completely scanned manga or close to being completely scanned (I don't like waiting for chapters).

Some examples:
Dokuhime
Reimei no Arcana
+C: Sword and Cornett

Thanks for the reply!
I can't believe I completely forgot about Another! (I haven't read it, but the anime was really good.) I haven't read any of the other ones, but they are definitely on my list to read soon. Thanks for the suggestions.

And I'm still looking for more, if anyone has any more to suggest.

Hayate no Gotoku!

That should keep you busy for 8 months. Some others, perhaps:
Again!!
Iris Zero, but he prefers to be outcast.
Doubt! (AMANO Sakuya) perhaps

I wasn't a big fan of the Hayate no Gotoku! anime, as in, I did not like it. Unless someone can convince me the manga is better than the anime, I will not be reading that at all.

The others, Again!! and Iris Zero were already on my lists, but they are still ongoing, and I'm looking for completed and close to being completed mangas to read. Doubt! fits the second and I'll put it on my list to read when completed, but I hardly doubt I will actually get anywhere with it since harems are usually a turn-off for me (I just can't stand girls flinging themselves at one guy and vice versa)

And still looking for more completed mangas that fit my criteria. If anyone else has suggestions, I'd be happy to see them =]

Ajin -definitely an outcast by his family and pretty much the whole world, but im not really sure if he really wants to fix it or not

Horimiya -not really an outcast, more like everyone just thinks he is kind of creepy

DICE: The Cube that Changes Everything -this one is all about him wanting to be accepted and changing himself for it

ill also second Iris Zero 😀

Ajin looks really good! I might have to go read it...soon ^^; Thanks for the suggestion!

I am reading Horimiya and DICE (at least I thought I started it...as I failed to even put it on my reading list and have no clue where I am in the series >_<)

and I don't want to repeat myself, but of course, still looking. I want to get a nice handful to look forward to and read =]
