Romantic Regret.

Hellooooo!
I'm back, looking for a manga in which the protagonist (or their love interest) experiences profound romantic regret. Like, they messed up big time, or missed a romantic opportunity, and they regret it like hell (until the situation's fixed - if it's ever fixed, that is).
Sample scenarios:
A is confessed to by B but rejects B, only to slowly develop feelings for B later and to regret that rejection. Especially now that B is going out with (or seems to be interested in) someone else...
A did something bad in the past for which B, the person A later comes to love, can't forgive them (e.g. killing B's parents or bullying B as a child). Madcrazy regret ensues...
A was in a relationship with B but broke up with B for whatever reason, and now regrets the break-up.
A starts sleeping with B casually after a one-night stand, and initially insists on a 'no strings attached' formula - but then comes to regret their 'sex friend' status when actual feelings start to develop...
A is in a relationship with B but does something douche-like (e.g. cheating/lying/manipulating/stalking/abusing), and B breaks up with them as a result. And A's all like, "Baby, I done wrong... Take me back! Please take me back!" (Or maybe A just realizes what a douche they are and that B deserves better, and so doesn't even try taking them back - but the regret remains.)
A falls in love with B and starts a relationship, but B turns out to be the douche! What a letdown... A regrets ever getting involved with B.
A loves B but misses the chance to confess, and later regrets it when it's revealed, at B's wedding to someone else, that B had loved A back then... If A had confessed, they'd be together now! BIG freaking regret, right there!
A is in a relationship with B but misunderstands/miscommunicates something with disastrous/painful results for B... And then regrets it. Big time.
...Etc.
(Yeah, the inside of my head really is filled with corny romantic plots like that. Why'd you ask?)
Examples:
Kimi no Sei - protagonist regrets his past bullying of his now romantic interest.
Overdose - protagonist's love interest is a cheating douche who regrets his misbehavior when his lover finally leaves him.
Cappuccino - male lead genuinely regrets cheating on his girlfriend at the end.
Zig Zag Don - female protagonist regrets starting a 'sex friend' relationship with her male friend, for whom she then starts having feelings; he also regrets it later.
If only I held you that day... - protagonist regrets rejecting (or running away from...?) his gay friend's confession many years ago, when he realizes that he loved his friend all along, and that his friend now has an abusive boyfriend...
More like these? I'll accept any genre EXCEPT hentai or heavy ecchi.

Yep, your request today is corny! (Sorry for being so jarringly honest! 😛 )
Well, I'm not a fan of romantic genres so I haven't got a lot, but chapters 4 & 5 of Zantei, Koibito fit perfectly. Note that I don't mean the main story (chapters 1-3), but the two one-shots at the end.

Found a few more - but I get the feeling you've probably read them...
Chapter 6 of Kiseki no Koibito.
So wa Reirei no Yuki ni Mai - It doesn't become obvious until the last few pages of the final chapter; but I can assure you that the 'romantic regret' is there.
A Night of a Thousand Dreams has a lot of that 'Boo-hoo I killed my lover' and 'I should have told her that I loved her' stuff 🤣
I guess Boku wa Sakana and Dousokai sort of fit, too. But they're more on the 'unexpressed feelings' side of things - hope that's okay with you!
King's Prophet and Kimi wa Machigatteiru - I loved the endings of these two one-shots 'cause they're not the typical happily-ever-after nonsense!
I think Bishounen no Koi has that "I'm totally infatuated with a jerk who takes advantage of me" kind of regret 🙂
And I looked through the 'regret' category for you and found two titles which look promising; Ame nimo Mayuwanai and Toumei na Sekai. Still, I haven't read them, so I can't be 100% sure they fit...
Oh - and Honoo no Mirage (Novel) is full of nothing but romantic regret. But this series is so popular among BL readers that I probably shouldn't even have bothered mentioning it to you ^_^
Edit - Whoops! Looks like ShadowSakura beat me to recommending Toumei na Sekai. Well, a little reiteration never hurt ^^

I know a bunch but don't feel like digging them up at the moment... However, what sprang to mind was Boku to Watashi no Henai Jijou, which has a wonderful relationship depicted despite the simple art!

It's not very far in, but there are hints that the female protagonist has had some kind of "romantic regret" and has trouble trusting people.
Go to work, send your kids to school;
Follow fashion, act normal;
Walk on the pavement, watch T.V.;
Save for retirement, obey the law.
