So, what I want this time is a gender bender where the originally male lead is permanently transformed into a girl. What I mean is, no constantly switching back into his original gender, or, if it's a body swap, jumping around different bodies or getting kicked out by the old inhabitant, etc.

I'd like it to be a romance, but what's more important is that it is, at least in part, a comedy. I'm looking to be entertained by a somewhat humorous situation, not be lectured about life lessons.

A few I've already read/Am reading are:

Ichinensei ni Nacchattara

I'm still kind iffy about this one. It's funny and cute, but the whole ecchi thing with little kids bothers me pretty often. If you're going to suggest loli stuff, use this is your measure of maximum inappropriateness.

Boku to Kanojo no XXX

Idol Pretender

This is one of my personal favorites, and exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, so if you're reading it, keep that in mind.

And lastly, Sekainohate de Aimashou.

One last note. It doesn't have to strictly be a comedy. I just don't want anything that's always deadly serious. Plenty of lighter moments to break up the drama is all I'm asking for.

Return: Well, this is not a fit, but it a favorite of mine. And I liked the ending. 🙂
Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl: It kinda bored me, but he is a girl now, even so he was pretty much a girl before 😛
Akane-chan Overdrive: Old one, but clasic.

Okay, first, thank you to everyone who took the time to make suggestions. I really do appreciate your time and effort.

Now, time for me to be nit-picky. Most of these are just about cross-dressers. That isn't what I want. At all. I want actual gender change, not just a guy with a girl's face dressed in drag.

For future reference, please only mangas where an actual gender change takes place. And yes, it HAS to be permanent. I find the changing back and forth plot device to be stupid, and that it is usually just a set-up for jokes that I don't find funny in the slightest.

Edit: I actually have read Kakumei no Hi now that I think about it. Thank you for reminding me of one that I liked so much.
