BL with female characters?

I need some recommendations please!
I'm kinda bored with BL that only has male characters (or a few minor female characters), or shoujo which has gay male characters that don't feature much in the story. What I'm looking for is manga that has both girl-guy and guy-guy couples or love interests in the story, or male and female main characters that both fall for the same guy (like Crush on You).
Basically, I'm looking for a manga that has:
- both male and female main characters
- must have yaoi or shounen-ai theme
- may have straight couples (but they can't dominate the story)
- preferrably set in high school
Thank you! 🙂

The only problem is, females in yaoi are EVIL.. here is the perfect example.. Boku wa Sakana
Utopia of Homosexuality is probably not something you are looking for.. but i'm just throwing it out.
Aikata the only manga i can currently remember in yaoi where the female character is not evil is in this manga! but theirs a problem..
shes dead. LOL
The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese
Mister Mermaid I don't remember this manga well. but i think, i think, its what your looking for.
I read Lucky-kun a long time ago, but i remember their being a female supported character.. she may not be evil in a sense.. but she does put them in a magazine.. i think ><
Sorry for so many examples >< lol i highly recommend the first manga, the one-shot, its very beautiful 🙂

Jinsei wa Barairo Da have semi-important girl character. she is a rabid protector of male/male relationship.

Hmm. Women in BL manga aren't usually painted in the best of light, but there are some stories where they are a critical element.
Let Dai has 2 female protagonists who are critical to the story. It's a long story, and a good read at that, but it's rather heavy. Unlike most of yaoi titles, this one doesn't sugarcoat themes of violence and rape.
Steel Moon by Tateno Makoto has another one who I thought was used well.
On slightly more lighthearted side of things Otonage by Karikawa Seyu has an interesting female character who made me laugh a few times 🙂 .

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Komatta? There are plenty of female characters in that one;
I actually like the girls more than the guys (not that the guys are bad ^_^) But as far as canon couples go, it has almost none -- neither guy x guy nor girl x guy. It's mostly just subtext / jokes / vague foreshadowing. Still worth a read, imo.
Golden Days has quite a few het couples. There's no actual BL main couple since the protagonist isn't in love with the guy who has a crush on him, but it's a very nice story and the het couples don't 'take over', so to speak; nor does the protagonist ever fall for a girl.
And I've heard someone say that 50 x 50 has two prominent female characters. But I haven't read it so no guarantees.

Gravitation - as I recall, there are at least two love rivals, two sisters, a female band member, and another who isn't as she appears.
