Meaning the story is told from the point of view of the villain and s/he is the main character. I'm not looking for anti-heroes, there's plenty of them. I mean the main character is truly the bad guy in the tale.

I guess maybe Death Note would be the closest thing I can think of as an example, but depending on who you ask Light might also be considered an anti-hero. Yeah though something like that, but I want the main to be undeniably evil.

I would prefer completed seinen, but shounen is alright as well. I think though, that this is probably a pretty rare, (or non-existent), type of story so if you know anything shout it out.

Shamo is definately what your looking for. Seinen, but it is still ongoing and it has more than 250+ chapters out.

Superior Technically fits

That looks like it could be pretty good so I added to my wish list for later, but going by the description and comments, I don't think it's quite what I had in mind

That, actually looks really close to the mark. I'll check it out.

Thanks for the responses.

Island - The protagonist is a psychopathic serial killer, but it still the lesser of two evils.

Ahh, those look good too, especially the shorter ones. Quick reads are nice sometimes. I'll check em out, thanks.

Angel Densetsu
Not truly a "Villain protagonist" but everyone in the manga sees him as one.

You should definitely try Wanted then. Its a comic not a manga but the main character is undeniably evil. Kinda short at 6 issues(six issues is like 3 volumes or so). It packs a lot in for its size though and is in full color.

P.S. Dead Fantasy. Look it up.

I'm pretty sure no one is a good guy in "Ichi the Killer." Both sides are f**ked up.
Duds Hunt Not evil per say, but he's not a good guy or an anti hero.

Yeah, I guess a lot are sort of like evil vs evil. Or they're character focused stories following the main guy as he does evil deeds.

I think what I was looking for was more of a traditional good vs evil type of conflict in the story and having it told from the evil side's perspective, yet still having that clear cut good and bad guy element.

Like say, Berserk only instead of primarily focusing on Guts, Griffith would be the main character. Or like following Aizen rather than Ichigo in Bleach. I guess it's kind of difficult to have a story like that and make the reader sympathize with the villain, though.

Still got some good suggestions for stuff though, so thanks. 🙂
