Hi, after reading a lot of light novels that involves virtual reality MMO's with crafting skills (like only sense online and legendary moonlight sculptor), I would like to play a game that Is heavy on creating items, like a blacksmith, tailor, or other stuff.

If possible, either on a PC, PS3, PS2 or PSVITA.

Thanks!

Are you aware of the Atelier series of games? That is generally the first stop to go to when you're after crafting games.

A lot of the Minecraft-esque games (including Minecraft) are heavy on the crafting. Terraria is a solid choice.

Summon Night: Swordcraft Story series for something much more casual and plot driven.

Don't think I've seen a single crafting system in a game that matches Legend of Mana (PSX) for sheer ludicrous complexity, though.

I've tried some of the atelier games, and played terraria (I hate minecraft, so not even going there =P) and some of the atelier series are really good, except the ps3/vita ones (I've always felt that I don't nkow what to do in the "time management" of these). I will try mostly the ones on the ps2 for that.

Also, do you guys also know of a MMO that has a lot of crafting, or that a lot of equipment or items are dependent on players, like the light novels?

thanks for the suggestions, and I hope you could help me with this too, if possible.

Could always look through here 😛 http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ItemCrafting

Can't really recommend anything, personally. Most MMO's with a big crafting system also involve endless grind mechanics, which I hate. I know Lineage 2 has an entire class/race devoted to item crafting, though.

And of course there's WoW.

I second Terraria. I've already sunk over 60 hours into that game.

Also, the Monster Hunter series relies very heavily on crafting your equipment, but, from what I heard, the series is pretty hard to get into. The series migrated over to Nintendo's consoles for the newest releases, but you can still pick the previous titles available for the PS2 and PSP.

Have you tried Don't Starve? It's on steam, it's a survival game where you collect resources, craft weapons and tools and try to survive the winter and not get killed by wolves.
