The MC has one of the least attractive, most punchable protagonist faces I've seen in a long time (and I feel like I've seen that exact face somewhere else for a character that was just as annoyingly whimpy). And quite frankly, I'm going to thank the artist for that, because I personally think the story deserves it.
Characterization is inconsistent for both the MC and the female lead, the number of powers given to the MC is insane to the point it breaks my suspension of disbelief and can only run on plot holes at some point in the future.
Furthermore, the world feels uninspired, and the artist seems to have borrowed the designs of other manga, like the cait sith guild receptionist.
Again, I'm somewhat thankful the character designs are as mismatched as they are, because the story wasted the one thing I thought made it different: the abusive party not getting away with being abusive and the cute healer and mage who did nothing to help him being rejected and not turned into his harem.
That was neat, but the punishment was wish fulfillment and nothing realistic. In fact, the whole world was waiting for the opportunity to punish his abusive party.
I call that making the MC a Mary-Sue. The whole world exists to bend over backwards for the MC and, again, my suspension of disbelief is broken.
I'm only not rating it worse because it's inoffensively bad.
