I hope this gets an official English translation soon. The story itself is very interesting and the art is beautiful. I’ll just mention two points and then everyone could make their own decisions on whether they want to read this or not.
The first point is the age gap, I’m not sure why there were so many comments about this when this is a fictional story based in a fantasy world, about a relationship between a God and a reincarnated soul. Even then the story itself doesn’t transition into a romantic love story until after the FL is an adult (even by today’s society standards) already. That’s all I really have to say about that. I think if you’re gonna use this as a reason, not to read the story that you should just admit you don’t like the story for other reasons to me the age gap is not even an issue. It actually adds to the story as it’s written.
The second point is they did a great job world building and creating a lot of more in this story however, the way the story was finished, felt unsatisfying to me because there were many loose ends. It felt rushed to me.
Throughout most of the story, the second wife seems like such a strong antagonist to our hero heroine yet her not so secret plot of wanting to kill her stepdaughter is revealed in a very lackluster way, and she is sentenced to death and just never shown again.
Even though you suspected through most of the story, it’s a very briefly mentioned that the second wife was also manipulating her own daughter and using her that issue is resolved way too quickly and only addressed by our FL mentioning it in passing the sister is written out of the story in a one panel letter where she admits to still hating the sister, but hating herself more. And then she is just never shown again.
The grand reveal that the second wife murdered the first wife is mentioned in passing and other than the moment it’s revealed in is never addressed again.
The main villain ends up being the priest and most of the action here at the end of the story takes place “off screen“. The ML is able to get his full power quickly at the last minute and is able to quickly defeat the main villain.
In the last chapter in the last half the ML decides to become human, cancel the blessing on the kingdom and the blessing on the FL bloodline. Then they walk down the aisle and get married. There is a very brief flash forward to them having a daughter, but it’s literally the quickest thing ever.
I really wish that they would’ve taken the time to invest into wrapping up all these threads so that the story could end a more satisfying way.
I still recommend reading the story because it is a good story. It just could’ve been much better. I can’t wait for the official English to come out. Hopefully it does. I’ll read it again at that point.
