Description

It’s a world where a magical tree grows from the back of a swordsman, a mute girl is turned into a living weapon by her mother, a frost dragon roams the skies seeking vengeance, and beings with godlike powers clash for the balance of nature. In the middle of it all is Bira, an orphaned boy, happily spending his days fishing inside a secluded forest. Then he meets Tanyu, a former general on a quest to find his childhood friend. What a touching story. Rebirth, innocence, deception, friendship and a path to realization. All well paced and placed in a world that feels like you’ve been transported to ancient times, mystical village like howl’s moving castle and a vying set of agendas clashing with each other. This is a book for those who love fantasy scenery and the coming of age OP mc. First arc 102 chapters of masterfully drawn pages, character design and font in translation are just perfect each time, really happy I read this and will reread until it starts up again.

Progress of plot is slow but very good

A lot of the reviews I read below are very misleading and inaccurate. Not sure why ppl tend to judge a plot and story based on very few chapters and then feel the need to “review”...

The story progresses slowly between continuous events happening. The MC goes around helping people but they aren’t just random people, as he helps them out you find out their relation to his grandfather who (based on ch 60) is known as the worlds greatest villain but there is more it. The more involved MC becomes in the world, the more you find out about the past and the current situation of his grandfather. The plot isn’t anything insane but it’s good enough to keep you entertained along with some amazing art

Great fantasy art but not so much for plot

Interesting art and fantasy settings.

Majority (if not all) of fantasy elements are inspired by Studio Ghibli's classics such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away. You can find a lot of design and details that follows that mantra.

As for plot, I'd give it 1.5/5. There isn't much to be thought of for the MC other than him naively saving every single person he came across, and pick up fight against whomever is on the winning side. Although the side-characters plot are much more interesting, the storytelling are handled poorly.

Saving Grace is the Artwork by YANG Kyung-Il

Kyung-ll needs no introduction, his artwork speaks by itself, my main problem is with the story, it goes all over the place, it lacks even an introduction outside Bira meets a kind lad, becomes friend with the lad, the lad is involved in some dangerous stuff, and then he goes out to find said lad because "danger" and get's involved in even more dangerous stuff.

He likes to introduces multiple people at times who're supposed to be important to the plot but likes to omit crucial information why so due to "reasons you'll later find out", but how much later it's up for grabs, it can be months later, years later...

I has already reached chapter 21 and there is no plot . The author is just introducing random (weird looking) characters and giving off crucial but not too relevant information about them .

It looks like he wants to suddenly start joining the dots at some point but it is too chaotic .I mean I know way more about the side characters than the main ones . He is trying to tell a story introducing all the characters at the beginning .

From my point of viev it gives way too much information it shouldn't ,on the first chapter you can see there is a relation between the MC's disappeared friend and ------ ,at chapter 21 they are still teasing with it but they gave so much information you can guess most of the MCs are searching for .
