I guess I'll start with the good things first.
The art (it's pretty good and I gotta praise the artist for taking the arduous task of drawing wings in every single panel, they do look very pretty and I feel like I developed a wing fetish or smth after reading this manhwa 😂)
The characters (there are a lot of side characters and they are kind of funny and endearing and some are also kind of interesting)
MC's whole knight squad really adores MC and is constantly fighting over his attention (Ig I do like those types of stories)
The plot is also kind of unique and somewhat interesting but I feel like it wasn't executed as well as it could have been?
I'll now start with the issues I had
The start was very confusing, things just kept happening and I was like 'What is happening? Why is it happening? What did the MC do😕'. It became a bit more clear later on but I still felt an odd sense of something is wrong or something is missing throughout the story.
The expressions (they feel kind of stiff and awkward to me, for some reason it feels like MC often has a blank and dumb look on his face. Like there is a loading circle constantly rotating over his head?)
I do not like the ML, he just feels like those arrogant types that don't listen and just do what they wanna do but MC will still like them cause they act gentle in certain situations. It's very annoying and boring for me. I also don't understand why he hates the MC so much when the whole kingdom already forgave the MC (and what was MC even supposed to do, didn't he do the best thing to ensure their survival? Why was he so angry in the first place I'm just confused)
This brings me to my next problem, too many questions I need answers to. I know that I don't really need to think that deeply but I can't help it, I want to know why, my questions will be revealing a few spoilers (till chapter 13 since that's where I stalled reading for now)
→ Why is MC's choice of fusing their race of 'Golden celestial' with 'Dark celestial' considered such a bad thing (particularly by the ML)? His original race is supposed to be the weakest in the game and since it's a like a survival of the fittest type of game that is basically an open invitation to be devoured by the other strong kingdoms. MC literally saved them and turned them into the strongest in game so it should be a win-win honestly. Ofcourse there's the fact that the conversion process was painful but it was a one time thing and the alternative would have been to die or be merged with another Kingdom. Sure it hurt their pride to become hybrids (atleast to me only ML seems bothered by it, the others don't really seem to care), but pride's not gonna keep you alive you know?
→ Is there a pure 'Dark celestial' race in the game too? If so shouldn't they be the strongest in the game? (Because MC's race which used to be the weakest became the strongest after fusing with that race)
→ The other weird thing to me is that the players are just so used to the life in game. Like how long were they stuck in the game that none of them seems bothered by the fact that they can never go back to reality and that they can actually die in the game? Why is no one panicking??
→ And the game characters, are they aware that they are game characters? Are they aware that the players are actually from a different reality? I don't think they have the stats window/ inventory window that players have and they can't see it when players are using them either.
Anyway I wouldn't say the story is bad or anything but from the 13 chapters that I read it was only somewhat entertaining for me. I don't really want to read more cause it doesn't feel very engaging right now, maybe my questions will be answered later and maybe it'll also get more interesting.
