the story is 'kinda' nice but the girl is too dense and boring.

she is extremely boring, the plot becomes extremely tiring because of her, she makes the story drags a lot, and this is all the author's fault, he doesn't know how to make the narrative pacing captivating, her reactions and development during the story are minimal not to say null.

it seems to me many times that even despite her past and blablabla, the author chooses to not give her even the slightest bit of reaction or EVOLVE, and that ends up making all the boy's effort seems wasted. Sometimes I even feel sorry for the poor guy, and all this because the author tries to squeeze the maximum out of this boring and nihilistic personality of her.

I sincerely think this concept of her personality is interesting but this manga (which is apparently romance lol) is poorly executed, and ends up not giving the slightest bit of climax or fanservice for those who ships the couple during the story, and that's what makes it so dull and boring for me.

I even saw in some places people saying that the characters have realistic personalities, I don't know what kind of people you live or interact with, but real life is definitely not like that, and if that's the case for you, look for new friends lol.

The ending ends up becoming a relief after so much boredom...

this boy is a warrior, me in his place would have told her to fuck off a long time ago, but it ends up making a bit of sense since it's probably a self-insertion by this virgin beta author.

Great slice of life, romance manga at first, but...

While it starts off funny and sweet, the protagonist's over the top personality becomes a little grating as time goes on, with little to show in the way of evolution and maturity. The senpai may seem effortlessly cool at first, but her character development is a little missing, except for maybe an event or two at the end which forces her to reconsider a few things.

Still a lovely series for most of its run, especially if you like slice of life mixed with romance. The humor is on point most of the time, the characters are (mostly) endearing, and it stirs up all those warm and fuzzy feelings. Had it ended at volume 7, my rating would have been a 9. What happens, then?

Well, the story had reached its natural conclusion, but as it all too often the case, some unnecessary pseudo-drama was added in order to keep it going a little longer. A new character shows up to stir up trouble, and the series suffers for it. It also becomes a little too corny, and issue that was already apparent before but one that only grows stronger in those later chapters.

Still a very enjoyable series, but one closer to a 7-8, "very good" rating than belonging to a 9-10, "this is a masterpiece" class.

The characters' personalities are well grounded, and the storytelling is compelling and well thought out. The pacing and situations don't feel too forced, yet the drama and human relationships draw you in.

Great characters whose story anyone can relate to. Beautiful art. Senpai is great.

It's pretty sweet, has a good pace, and more importantly.. the main character is not a total loser (which is a cliche and a trend in stories like this one). Specially good for a "cherry boy" and a seasoned woman.. though you can't help but like her more than you would him, which works very well to this manga's advantage.

By volume 3 and beyond, how good it actually is will depend on the interactions, developments and what they add to these specific characters. It might end up being a "I've already seen this before", but the drawings are pretty good too.
