Although she hasn't done many series yet, this mangaka has yet to disappoint me. She seems to draw exactly what I like: genuinely funny stories, enjoyable characters that don't embody the uke/seme stereotypes, and very attractive men.
Her new series does not disappoint. Okusan no Mousouteki Nichijou (Oku-san's Daily Fantasies) tells the story of a cute, but rather foolish uke who seems to be living in his own fantasies more than in the real world. Except for the unattainable delivery man, Oku-san has no romantic prospects on the horizon, so he amuses himself with erotic daydreams. Unfortunately, Oku-san is also a virgin, so all his fantasies are predictably cheesy and overwrought and play out like very bad yaoi. It's hot, but it also makes you laugh (how can you not when one of the fantasies features sausages?), which is a good thing in this case.
Unfortunately, BexBoy doesn't give the mangaka many pages, so each chapter is only 8 pages, which will disappoint some people, but she does a lot with those pages, which is good. Also, although it may not seem like it, there IS an actual plot begining to develop in the series. (Of course there is! Poor Oku-san can't live off of fantasies forever, right?) The first chapter was only meant to be a prologue, and the events of the second chapter play an important part in the third, so it doesn't seem as though this will be an episodal series.
Definitely give this one a try--you'll certainly get a laugh out of it. ^_^
