Description

The moment I’ve read Yodaka-sensei’s work (Witch & Cat), I’ve been in love with the artstyle so much that I’ve been reading all of sensei’s works. As I’ve said, I fell in love with the artstyle that I’m reading all of sensei’s works that are available to read. I hope to get the physical copies of them. Most of them are short yet has angst which I very much love!

As for this story, I think that maybe I love the Witch & Cat as well as The Omega Takes a Husband by sensei that’s why I’m kinda bias because compared to the first ones, I like this least but that doesn’t mean the story isn’t worth reading. I really suggest you read this too because this another dimension or type of story which is I’m not familiar with.

With the tag as BDSM, I thought that the story will be kinky but it’s more on like an omegaverse but instead of alpha and omega, we have dominant and submissive instead. Where the sub gets turn on when given a command and the dom gives command.

Maybe I like this least compared to the first ones I’ve read from sensei’s work is because I didn’t like the seme here (kinda red flag but has development in the end, don’t worry) compared to the first semes. But the angst on this story is very frustrating as well, just like the first ones.

It’s not really heart thumping and so sad that gets me to like it most but the story is to read. Short yet not bad, but not good also. And don’t read this if you’re expecting kinky stuffs because this is not it.

I still don't really understand the plot even though I re-read the vol...I feel like every variation of dom/sub world setting is just questionable already. I feel like it could have been handled better than blackmail which lowered my overall enjoyment of the story. I struggle a bit to consider whether the characters getting better or not.

Another amazing work! Cute scenes are adorable, smut is hot as usual. The manga is rich with subtle details of their natures and the character growth, even if it's not ground-breaking, is palpable. Their dynamic is cute and funny. Drama is not cheaply fabricated and the couple communicate their wants and needs properly by the end. I especially love the look into self-perception and societal-perception, through the lens of characters who are outside the norm even in their circle of characteristics, how their worries held them back both in their relationships and how that overall affects their self-esteem. "You just want to love loads and be loved loads back" chef's kiss, I don't know what else to tell you

Absolutely stunning artwork. Unexpectedly delves into the topic of self-worth and does so with tact and skill. A++, worth a read and then a re-read as well.
