Art 10/10
Plot 7/10 (for isekai)
Plot Execution 5/10
There is a lot to unpack for this rating. Let's start with these two remarks. 1) I enjoyed the series enough to finish the first season. 2) I would not recommend it; its an edgy isekai.
This story is a 2021 isekai. The isekai genre has been revived for the general public and it follows some distinct typical traits for this era (I'm not listing the traits at this moment). This particular story takes a darker conception of those traits, and hopes the audience will like it.
Now from reading the summary, I hope you understand some regular person gets transmigrated to a story where her story family plays the evil role of the same story. (wordy, huh.) This would be fine by itself, but it is a little improbable. This transmigrated lead has to play the biggest baddest villian. Could you easily accept changing your cultural preception about murder, torture, and unjust imprisionment? In a second or a couple days? And then act on it to be top dog?
The answer is "no". But, because the female lead can do this, the audience is hooked on this edgier tale of overused tropes.
However, as the story moves on, additional darkier elements are dropped in, and our female lead has no visceral moral reaction to them. Our female lead can just make rational judgements with, as she puts them, these additional annoyances. These additional elements are: child torture, incest, extremity, & etc. (Go look at other reviews to see more of the other edgy/dark elements).
At this point, each additional darkier element doesn't deepen the tone of the story, the story just gets more edgy and distastful.
