Description

This one is just as great as the other works of this author. I just love the relationship dynamic between Dean and Craig. Apparently they live in Seoul but most of the skyline is of NYC which I found a little funny.

Solid but nothing special

While I liked this manhwa, it's hardly anything outstanding. But if you want an okay, not overtly dramatic yaoi with realistic seme/uke, this one is a good pick. While the uke is a bit of a woobie with tons of problems breaking his back, he's actually not a caricature, and the seme was very promising - a young thug haunted by his previous misdeeds, who tried to get away from it all several times, but was always pushed back by his father. And this relationship between father and son was never developed, and I find this to be a major omission! This could have been the most powerful moment in the manhwa, but the dad only appears in a few panels and puff, that's it! The plots moved by too fast, and any psychological progress is done way to hastily. This undermines this as a character driven yaoi, which it truly and really is. There is no complex story, no over the top visuals, no multilayered word-building. it has a simple outline, which is not bad per se, but I wanted MORE character driven momentum. At least the relationship between uke and seme was cute and endearing. The uke's sister story was a bit cliche and they could do without it, but hey, these tropes are so prevalent in manhwas, so much that I always ecpect them and are surprised when a manhwa doesn't adopt them wholeheartedly. The art was minimalistic but fine.
Overall, this is worth reading, but it's simply not memorable.

This was so good!! Completed this years ago but love re-reading it agaim from time to time. I loved the puppy type uke and the seme. My biggest issue with this is I wish it was longer!!! The overal black and white artwork matches the tone of the story. This and Unromantic by the same author-nim are my favorites by them!!!!! I re-read that one also from time to time.

I'm going to be that guy I usually roll my eyes at, but I really don't understand the high ratings.

Their relationship has no substance aside from each of them thinking the words "I'm attracted to him," the criminal organization backstory is flimsy and lacking detail, there are continuity issues throughout, and that one guy's dialect/accent is laughably bad and extremely distracting. (And this the official translation I'm talking about here!)

Even disregarding the flimsiness of the plot (because hey, not everything has to be a masterpiece, I'm down for that sometimes), this has a very amateur feel. There are so many small inconsistencies that would be easily overlooked on their own, but eventually it reaches a critical point and suddenly reading feels like a chore.

And for what? I'll put up with pretty terrible writing in pursuit of steamy R18 content, but this is nothing special in that department either.

I JUST LOVE the way the story unfolds.The mutual trust between them, and the way in which, with small details, we see the love overflowing in their relationship. The touch (which is very important in a relationship) of hands, hugs, gestures of support and care, which express to us, readers, how firm they are in their feelings. Dean's evolution is also beautiful. We always see bad boy characters, who grew up fighting and facing the world, but here, we see the fragile part. The real face of a child who suffered, and had trouble being inserted into an inhuman world, who asked her for cruelty and lack of empathy, and now, he's ready to look at it and say ''No!!''. Everyone here suffered along paths that they were forced to follow, and they live with the consequences and impacts that this caused in their lives. Carrying their mistakes, remembering each one of them to never repeat it again.
