though i actively enjoy gore, this just really irked me. i definitely wouldn't say it was traumatizing,
but mostly the baby scene upset me, which is to be expected. it wasn't as bad as i remember it being when i read it last year, but i don't have any other reason to give this such a low rating other than "babyf***ing bad" which i'd say is a pretty valid reason. other than the actual content, the plot is barely a plot at all, moreso a concept for people to fap to. ! though multiple characters get introduced then suddenly leave, nothing really happens. mai forgets sayurin even existed, and she seems to get over kizuna leaving. she starts and ends in the same place physically and mentally, so it's really just mindless goreporn. while the art may be clearly dated, i happen to enjoy this specific type of 2000s anime style, so it's not an issue with me. the gore is pretty nice, nothing to write home about. most enjoyment i got was actually seeing mai and sayurin interact. i genuinely started liking sayurin and thought the scene where ! mai tries over and over to get sayurin to eat her flesh was kinda funny. overall, i enjoyed bits and pieces (no pun intended), but i wouldn't return to this nor recommend it unless someone was specifically looking for something shocking.
There is nothing positive about this manga (good god is it ugly) besides that it isn´t worse then his other hentai about a real live murder case. And where the hell is all this shota rape coming from, what sort of target audience did this "work" reach? Avoid at all lost and where the hell is the announced film adaptation coming from.
Worse exists but not by much...
Someone told me to read this because it was ridiculously gorey, and boy was it. the arts a little dated and the plot is kinda lackluster, but if you're looking for what is hopefully the darkest thing you'll ever read, check it out. Just know what you're getting into
I wish that the plot was more in depth but I loved what I read. The humor was not lost on me because I have a twisted sense of humor. It had a tasteful amount of gore. The plot to gore ratio was well done. If you love your guro with a plot, this is for you.
-.5 for plot holes.
I read this for the shock factor, and I guess that's what I got.
Although I'm not sure if it's what I'd call shocking, if you're desensitized by internet media, but there's just no redeeming quality to this manga. It's gross to be gross, cruel to be cruel, and the "humor" falls flat.
The ending is awful, but was the only thing with real emotional impact beyond how the manga either insulates you from itself, or wears on you with a growing sense of disgust. Not recommended.
To all you people who are saying you laughed at this: Wow! I fount is hard to get to the end it was just so yuck. Only good thing about this was the detail, but other then that it had no plot whatsoever. Just one gore scene after the other.
Only funny parts were when Saruyin died and that small part of the baby scene. (the rest of the baby scene was just yuck.)
I just hat how Mai-chan returns to normal life after they kill her baby...WTF?
It wasn't as good as I expected... I mean, yeah, its got some gore, but its not too intense, and most of the time its humorous gore.
At the baby fuck scene, I thought indeed it was a bit sad, but as soon as he said 'its aaawwright' i started laughing uncontrollably because I've meet this phrase quite a few times before on certain image boards, and I felt like I finally got the joke
Overall, I think this manga is just overrated, the people reading it and leaving comments that it was sick and twisted probably having little experience with guro manga. I've seen worse.
Overall, I think i'd give it a 5, but it gets some extra marks for the blender part... That was something new, and extremely funny. Not so immortal anymore, are we?
Though the manga did have me grimacing in disgust throughout the entire reading. How the mangaka ever came up with all these sick and twisted ideas for a manga, I can't for the hell of me even begin to fathom. However, more so than vile, I found this manga to be extremely sad.
The baby-blender part had me tearing up, with Mai hysterically screaming for her baby back.
I think it's the drawing style that makes it somewhat hard to take the manga seriously.
All in all it wasn't THAT terrifying, although I'm pretty sure I won't be picking up another manga by the same mangaka anytime soon.
while its nice the author tried to make a plot, there are large, large gaping holes in this.
we never get to know how mai gets to work as a fetish-rent girl. some background history would be nice, yes?
the summary is wrong. they are not immortal. almost indestructible, but not immortal.
the baby that mai has with the other indestructible boy gets killed in a blender
3.what was the point of the no-limb cat girl? was she there to show Mai's bubbly, cheerful personality despite having a job that she seems to dislike?
4.also, there is a part where some dude is shoving his penis in Mai's eye socket. and mai is still conscious and thinking clearly, as can be seen from the expression on her face.
is that even possible due to the laws of the human body? his penis is going through her freaking brain, you moron of a writer. she is not going to still be conscious, she is going to be brain dead until she heals herself. jeez, this is basic human anatomy. unless she was not human but some other kind of creature that looked human?(if it was, then the writer didnt allude to it in any way)
apparently the boy doesnt even know he has a kid with mai. um, wow.
yes, i know this is smut(actually, s&m smut, idk the word for it in japanese) but at least try to have things make sense no matter how stupid or ridiculous it seems. no, i dont want to read a manga about flying horses that kidnap little girls to build clones of female ponies so they can have babies and so the girls can built chairs for the horse's laptop with them, even if its smut. because that doesnt make sense either(why have little girls build ponies for you if highly skilled doctors can do it? after all, little girls dont know how to build clones).
interesting topic, but the art was cartoonish and the plot had stupid holes in it.
2/10 because i somewhat enjoyed it. good for a day when you dont feel like thinking about intricate plots.
Though the cover of this manga looks un-terrifying, the manga itself is freaky and sadistic. The artist put a lot of detail into the guro scenes to really freak you out. He also adds some dark humor to disturb people even more. (I hate to say it but, it was pretty funny at times)
Yes, this is a very, very graphic manga containing, strong violence, blood and gore, BDSM, (straight) shotacon and sex between a grown man and a newborn.
(That's what the "Baby f***, baby f***! Awwwwright!" comments are all about)
There is worse guro manga out there, but this is still pretty hardcore. If you have a weak stomach I highly suggest you do not read this. Read at your own risk.
