Another LICO story, which most people love. Based on the comments, you can see people do like it too. But not me LOL. Don't know why, but I never could come to like LICO's art or stories.
First, the concept of the story... Something like reincarnation and the afterlife is up to debate on how it really is. But the way this story portrays it is extremely childish and unlikely, and that rubbed me the wrong way.
How did the teachers not know about that one evil character (forgot his name already) who plotted against the school? That belittles the entire "system" of the universe. Queen Yemma should be omniscient since she rules the underworld. But no, students can just run around and do stupid things like this. It's hilarious that so many accidents can happen and the kids always got into trouble. It's ridiculous.
The "powers" from the teachers and other characters aren't truly explained. How did that "evil" character even get "strong"? What the heck can Mook even do? Certain teachers (the karate bunny, the swimsuit guy, that one female teacher...) never reveal any "power" at all and they seemed useless. It's cheap when certain things just get put into the story for convenience. It's a plot hole / red flag when that happens, and it isn't good storytelling either.
Queen Yemma being the underworld administrator should NOT be encouraging silly romance, but it seems like that's all there is to the afterlife: DATING. Lol......
Also, the art. Art is subjective to everybody's taste, but it was also not for me too. Too cutesy...
I think I'm just too old for this story and am taking it too seriously LOL. That's my bad.
I finished it, but internally complained every chapter about what happened. I couldn't enjoy reading this.
