Ch6: The top very blatantly rapes the bottom MC.
Additionally, because the bottom is the top's servant, working for him and living with him, he doesn't have the option to say no to sex, it's expected of him and required to keep the top happy.
Additionally, when the rape is called out by another character, the top uses his powers to make the other character choke/asphyxiate
This story has an interesting premise but the more you read the more it ended up becoming the ML taking advantage of the MC. It’s a seriously toxic relationship where they both just end up being OK with it. The MLs nature never really changes. The only difference is he’s less cruel to the MC than he is to everyone else. There are additional side characters that are interesting and a side ship that has a sad ending.
As much as I love BL stories, this is not one I would recommend.
Spoilers ahead -
Writing this review now, but I read the story long time ago. This was the first BL story that I read that had a hopeless ending… to me after everything, the main CP went through together for it to end with both of them knowing one will die, and the other will continue to live on endlessly was just a depressing ending altogether and one that made the story itself meaningless. This within itself was the only real connection throughout the entire story that the ML was cruel and toxic, because his never ending life became meaningless other than his experience with the MC, which he knew would end with the MC’s death at the end of his natural lifespan.
Good, interesting story but THOSE EYES were horrible. I can't believe I ended this bc of that artstyle. pzdr

It was a good concept and the characters were cute. The main couple was problematic, but it was meant to be.
Finished it just because I spent too much time to just drop it.
Not a funny experience.
I see a lot of comments about the Lucaon/ML/Seme and how he's a jerk but I just want to let people know there's a reason.
Yes, Lucaon technically forced himself on Kyon even tho Kyon was smiling and happy after. That's why this ship is so complex, Kyons a masochist. Also Lucaon is half zero which makes him violent when he doesn't mean to be, this is explained later, which in thankful for or I wouldn't of loved this so much. READ ON LEHZIN, SO MANY PANELS ARE MISSING ON ALL ILLEGAL READER SITES. Yes, I started chapter 1-7 on a ILLEGAL site and liked it, so I always buy when I like something and plan to finish. Then I noticed a lot of panels missing which is probably why the reviews are so horrible BECAUSE most don't BUY! They missed major reasons on why Kyon is a masochist and Lucaon's HALF ZERO problems. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because of the rushed ending. And the relationship between Christoph and Ryan was really weird, ! like almost pedo sh*t, or not sexual at all, it was never explained only implied. And it seemed like Christoph was scared of Ryan. But Ryan was like obsessively obsessed with Christoph. It was weird and put me off.
I have to agree with the last two comments below, the main couple relationship was really disturbing. They both had their issues and it's fine they were trying to help each other but Lucaon was just too much. Especially with realizing his own feelings. For me it seems like the first season was well-thought and really entertaining but something bad happened to the plot in season 2 and even worse in season 3. Lucaon changed his attitude without explaining anything to Kyon and Kyon just accepted it. The questions came way too late
and I cannot believe Lucaon never properly apologized for what he was doing to Kyon. And he kept having the same attitude to other servants in the last chapter. Kyon was just foolishly in love but Lucaon had done nothing to deserve it. And the way he handled the whole corruption of his core was so out of character. At the end of season 1 he was already realizing he likes Kyon and doesn't want him gone but because he had his believes about servants and his pride, he didn't really change his attitude, just regretted his actions (rape) later. And then suddenly when season 2 came, he was running like maiden in love. Even taking into account the crazy circumstances, this was so out of the character. I do not believe he would not suspect Kyon longer. Even though mangaka tried to show that it cannot be him, because he cried etc. by making Cecile think all of this... the fact Cecile was so sure of Kyon was also unnatural. She might have the ability to read minds but this was just too convenient to let Kyon be like this. Especially when just days earlier she was just standing watching the poor boy bleed out to death.
Apart from the main couple, Sihan and Karis were absolutely amazing. I'm surprised that the author was able to write sucha level-headed and wonderful character as Karis. He was always keeping his cool. He didn't stupidly throw away his friends and family for a lover and was not scared to stand up to Sihan when they did not agree about something.
Even though Lucaon hurt him when he was trying to protect Kyon, he never backed off and was rushing with help the moment he noticed something is wrong.
He is truly a friend/lover everyone wants but a few deserve. Just because of him an Sihon (whose backstory and change were also very well written and logical) I gave this a 6/10.
3/10 for the Lucaon x Kyon couple, 10/10 for Sihan x Karis and 7/10 for Cecile and Ryan (there was just too many things that were not explained). It seems like the author wanted to finish the manga within season 3 and was just rushing with it all, thinking that if they resolve the romance part, everything will be fine but the reades got involved in the whole word and just wanted more about it.
Btw, if you like the general feeling the webtoon gives you, try reading Noblesse, this is not a yaoi/shounen ai, but has similar mystery vibe with some supernatural beings meddling with humans.
The MC and seme spend the majority of the story having a very questionable relationship. The MC is constantly abused and he doesn't have the balls to stand up to ANY of it. I wish some of the side characters (who are immensely more interesting) could have more spotlight. The 2 main characters are lacklustre and depthless. There are also various unresolved plot points that bring the ending to a somewhat unsatisfying ending. The art isn't terrible, but nothing to write home about. So, other than somewhat interesting side characters, this series doesn't have many redeeming qualities.
The bad things: The main couple and the overall story
Lucaon's and Kyon's relationship is one of the most toxic ones I've ever seen in a yaoi. And I'm usually totally OK with dubious consent and initial rapey scenes in my BL-manga (yeah, get over it), but this one is on a whole new level. This, my friends is a perfect example of the Stockholm syndrome. And not the over-romanticized kind.
I hated both of the main characters. Lucaon is just a cruel seme, with zero character developement througout the story,
he treats Kyon so poorly, even after they got together, he keeps raping him and hurting him, he has serious anger issues, and can't control himself at all.
Kyon is a typical, very annoying, pushover, 'damsel in distress'-type of uke, useless and weak minded. He has the personality of a piece of paper. Like, really, we don't get to know about him anything else, other than for whatever reason, he loves Lucaon.
The story is absolutely shit. Like, for real. Nothing makes sense, the fantasy world the author builds is full with illogical things, the story full with plotholes, with questions, that never get answered.
Why do the nobles keep eating food, when it is stated, that they can live without it (either with taking medicine or sucking energy from people)? Why would you frickin' risk your life by getting poisoned, when you absolutely do not have to do so??? Makes zero sense. Why did the symbol on Kyon's neck change after his 'awakening'? If it was because he was awakened by Intron, then it was a shitty plan of Intron to have him infiltrate the Selvior house, because the Intron symbol would make him busted in a second. Why did Kyon hurt his neck, when he was about to leave Lucaon? If he was leaving anyway, wouldn't it be irrelevant what symbol he has on his neck? Or did he try to commit suicide? Then why did he do that literally 10 meters away from the house??
What happened with Edwin? What was his reason to hurt the main characters? And so on, nothing really makes any sense in this comic.
The good things: the second couple and the art
Ok, let me tell you, how I loved Sihan and Karis, especially Karis. He was so refreshingly down-to-earth. He stood up for himself and others, I loved how he tried to help Kyon throughout the whole story, how he cared about his well-being, when even Kyon himself couldn't care less. And how he loved Sihan, how he always tried to speak with him, even when they were fighting, he genuinly tried to communicate and get his emotions through every time, never to leave on a bad note. They just respected each other so much, and I loved it. Their relationship was the only thing I gave a 3 for this piece, too bad, there's not too much of them in the story.
And the art was pretty. Nothing extraordinary, but I liked it.
