I don't like being sad

If I have to describe my feeling about this manga in one word, it's "empty". This manga started off really promising. and Kaname is my first crush. literally. It went dark as the story progressed and I keep having a bad feeling about this manga so I stopped reading diligently. I ignored every updates and went back from time to time to skim through every chapters. I didn't actually read the detail and only want to know what happened in the end. I feel disappointed by the ending. I could tolerate it a little coz Kaname is alive but....

And I'm fine with that! Now we're getting what happened in the in-between of that. I strongly support Yuki's decision to give both Kanami and Zero happiness. Kanami went through a lot of suffering as a pureblood so I think it was the correct choice for Yuki to allow Kanami to live as a human in a more peaceful world. That being said, Zero also deserves happiness after being toyed with 🙁

I feel bad for Kaname...

He doesn't get the girl even though she loved him more than Zero. Then he has to raise their kid and the kid of that asshole Zero. Also, why would we want to see more of Zero and Yuki together when Kaname slept? She only chose Zero because she didn't want to be lonely.

Laid Back Pacing

The first four chapters have the feel of stand alone stories because that's basically what they were. They are pretty laid back and slice-of-lifey - except perhaps for the 4th chapter which goes into Seiren's backstory. That chapter actually has decent writing and a plot. It's cute, and I'll continue to read it. The most recent chapter hints at us finally seeing a

wedding between Yuki and Zero in a future chapter - and although I don't ship them that much any more, it would be nice to see for closure's sake.

I just wish Hino would give us more chaps about the other characters - like Maria, Kaito, the headmaster, ect and try to put more plot and less cutesy-ness into this story....
