Just as my subject stated, this is just an easy-going light-hearted story with some light comedy and interesting parts. I actually liked it fairly much, but it wasn't to the point where I couldn't stop reading or felt that it was truly awesome.
It offers what it's supposed to. We have a lot of demons and for some reason, nothing truly bad ever happens. The peak of the drama would be one demon who threatens the mc and hates humans, but even then he wouldn't be killed and it's all just an empty farce, at least that's the way it feels.
Seriously, It's nice for light reading, but if you start to think, you notice so many flaws in the logic of this plot. I just ignored them even if I at times felt a bit fed-up with the stupidity going on, after all, this wasn't meant to be a serious work so one can expect fallacies such as this. Things such as 1: when bothered about a smell, they don't use anything to cover their noses despite it being proved that mere plastic can easily contain all the smell without leaking it, 2: They frequently complain or perhaps are just irritated about not being able to convince people of demons existing and that humans are annoying because they don't believe them and even look down on them as if they're lying, but everything it would take is using a small item or perhaps a cloth and cover the small fuzzy demon that always accompanies them, seriously, what better way to prove it than letting something float in the air and even move around? It was proven several times that people CAN see "mundane" items floating and moving when a demon interacts with them. 3: The world is excessively unrealistic, there are pretty much no evil demons and almost all of them seem to be perfectly happy interacting with humans, there are problem solving but just about never any true cases. The exorcism is actually just convincing demons to go into a portal to the underworld on their own. They care too much about killing even evil demons, it's stupid. We don't even get any real explanations on any of the powers in this manga, seems the author just goes with the flow and adds whatever he wants whenever he wants with zero explaining whatsoever.
There's also some background plot, mainly the mystery about the mc's father who disappeared or died, it was pretty cliché, but what can we expect? I felt it was a good addition nonetheless, it added at least a little bit of depth to a story which would otherwise have been a simple chapter-to-chapter monster pop-up story with comedy. There's also some random drama here and there where the mc struggles with his new life/job and whatever comes along with it, it makes him feel more alive than some other characters that just accept it all without even thinking about it.
Well, overall, it's pretty nice as a super light-hearted and fluffy, maybe even cute, manga, sometimes it manages to be amusing as well. Unrealistic and foolish, but it's pleasing nonetheless as long as you can ignore the flaws and take it for what it is, but I assume most of the veteran readers would be able to do that easily. Recommended, 6.5/10 in score.
