A collection of short stories about supernatural occurrences that take place in our everyday…

This is unfiltered. Long been one of my favourite reads, going back I'm sad to say it's less inspiring. Eerie folklore woven into modern life. Sometimes it's contemplative but often it's too much of the same setup and same freakiness.
The metaphor here is a bit clumsy, but I think the meaning should get across quite well. The stories may be short, with little development, but there's a strange- almost ghostly- effect while reading them that leaves a lingering impression. Igarashi Daisuke is truly one of the better mangaka out there, and although Hanashippanashi isn't going to cement that fact in the same way as Majo or Kaijuu no Kodomo, it's still a wholly satisfying piece.
