Description

this was beyond tragic and heartbreaking to read

i dont read yaoi but i picked this up because it was a continuation of the story of the only character i liked and cared about from the main story.

when i read the main story i was hoping for minho to get his happy ending like every single other character did (undeservingly) but of course it ended on a cliffhanger where it looked like things were about to get a whole lot worse for him, so with hopes of eventually seeing him get out of this shit he was in, i started reading this.

this was honestly so gut wrenching to read and left me feeling empty with a heavy heart long after i finished it. i felt so so bad for minho, watching him fall apart after everything he was being put through just hurt so bad. poor baby. he really didnt deserve any of it, and he deserved a way better ending.

i love manga/manhwa that can make me experience emotion cos usually im not very empathetic or sensitive, so despite how i felt about what was going one, i enjoyed reading this manhwa a lot. i would have rated it higher but nah, not with that ending

major spoiler:

in the last chapter woogyung lets minho go after his failed suicide (so cliche), but minho turns around and goes right back to him? like hello what? woogyung gave him money, so he literally couldve started a fresh life in another country if he wanted to, so what good reason did he have to go back? in the end, just like the main story, the real villain wins and minho is the one that suffers til the end. i wouldve preferred if his suicide was successful than whatever bs this was. atleast then hed be put out of this eternal misery and woogyung wouldve been somewhat punished. the author really did not like my baby, did she 😐

Come on people, you know what kind of story this is. Why are you here, can't you read the manhwa's name?? Just don't read it if it's not for you.
Anyway, I'm fully satisfied. The art saves the story... I kinda appreciate that ML is a true sadist.

Storyline was captivating enough that I wanted to continue reading to find out what happened but this has some seriously rough themes. Literally from the jump. Also the ending was...unexpected. Felt rushed/unfinished.

Abuse fantasy

It'd be one thing to explore the psychological aspects of an abusive relationship and the spiraling mental breakdown it causes, but this is not that. This isn't even a r@pe fantasy that yaoi authors like to romanticize bc of a fetish, this is purely an abuse fantasy the author clearly wanted to make sm1 they know go thru but couldn't so they did so in a story. It's a healthier way to cope with bad feelings towards sm1 else, ig, and can be a useful element to dissect the author's mentality, but it makes for poor storytelling, imho.

I didn't find it cathartic bc it was just bad event after bad event with no hope/resolution in sight (ig the only good thing was the MC figuring out he's was being an a**hole in the main story), and the story didn't seem to serve a purpose beyond abusing the MC. The ending was kinda senseless and unsatisfying (felt like the author was trying to throw in a HE even tho the story isn't really set up to have had one).

Not a story I'd recommend.

Interestingly, the GL side story (Side Story A) is pretty excellent tho. Probably the best story out of the whole series.

Very sadistic and violent, it's definitely a niche kind of smut and potentially very triggering. Please read only if you can handle very intense and graphic physical and psychological abuse.

Very good at being this kind of story, great art. My caveat is on the ending:

I understand that the abused guy going back voluntarily to his abuser is a kind of redemption, but that feels reaaaaally wrong . That's personal preference tho.

Not to dismiss a preference, but if you enjoy this type of fiction, go ahead and read it. The backstory of the story's creation, as well as the author's statement that the characters are based on real people they know, rendered this story irredeemable to me. To me, this was a vent story written to abuse people the author knows in real life, which makes the story kind of gross.

Fan translation is full of word-vomit by translators who hate mangaka and the story. Not only its terribly cringey, but also make it nearly impossible to read without distraction.
Hope these unprofessional people would stay away from the creators they clearly hate and love to bash.

Gonna wait for the official release.

As for the manga - i've read 4 chapters and it has potential and drama, which i love. The art is gorgeous!

Upd: read it till the end! Amazing, not your typical rape work, psychological, complex and the art is so gorgeous it is breathtaking

I love all all Sadistic Beauty stories but I love Yaoi -Side Story B the most. Please keep going and I hope the story will get many more chapters. You are great author and artist!
I think Wookyung did a lot wrong. But that doesn't mean that I sympathize with Minho, it's his own fault. Minho's character is despicably tainted with jealousy, arrogance, betrayal, deception, fraud and when nothing worked out for Minho anymore... he sold himself to Wookyung.
----- But to understand the story you have to read the main story. ----
I find it insane how people get upset about it, it's just stories and sexual fantasies. It's certainly not to everyone's taste, but that doesn't mean that you have to denigrate the story or even the author right away.
If only I was personally obsessed with a person... yes I could imagine a lot!... but I'm not. Despite everything, I don't think the fantasy about it is bad. lol

One of the most hopeless stories I ever saw...rape, torture, abuse, psycho...and the author's approach to the content contained therein only proves level of an intelligence ... pathetic, if anyone believes that anyone deserves such treatment, then something is definitely wrong, not worth reading, better not to support such authors...
I still don't understand why the BL authors romanticize rape all the time... It's some kind of a trend?! It's just disgusting, and I'm wondering what's wrong with their heads...
This rape in that Chapter 30 is only a proof that this story is truly disgusting, noone deserves to be raped, no matter what....I definitely don't recommend it
