If you're sick and tired of all the 90's and 2000's shoujo depiction of love/romance that shows extreme jealousy, codependency, possessiveness, tsundere/yandere, and the like, this is completely the series to restore your faith in humanity (or, at least restore your faith in Japanese shoujo manga tropes). I picked this series up with very few expectations since I've never read any of the author's previous works before. The art was cute and wispy, and I do like many a series with pretty female leads (my weakness!), so this seemed to be right up my alley.
A few chapters in, I was just completely enamored with the male lead, Akira. Oh man....he makes Kazehaya from Kimi no Todoke seem immature! Akira is so kind, caring, thoughtful, mature (but still maturing), and man...so so so wholesome. He's the perfect foil to Ran, the serious and beautiful but shy/timid heroine. It for sure made me feel very キュンキュンinside, lol.
I still have two more books to go to finish this, but I can't imagine it letting me down this late in the game. I did read Ammitsu-sensei's other work, Kanna to Decchi, and that was really cute/fluffy, as well, but just didn't have the right heartstring-tugging moments as this series. Highly recommend to those looking for fluffy, feel good shoujo that will restore your faith in healthy, cotton-candy-like relationships!
