It's a plot of matriarchy, and the author adds a lot of parallels to the current times (largely patriarchy), which make the story complex and interesting. The FL is for the most part amazing, although she can come across as a little rapey in some occasions. Fortunately, she hasn't raised any red flags nor crossed any lines so it's still acceptable. She's smart and scheming, which can come across as a little evil but it makes complete sense given how she's trying to survive against countless people who wish her harm. However, I don't really like how she continuously disrespects the original owner of the body and ignores the circumstances of what happens. I find this happens a lot in transmigration stories; the new soul goes in and starts bashing the original owner, thinking they are superior and better. In this case,
she was angry at how Fei Yue was being treated by the original Yan An, even though OG Yan An couldn't possibly love Fei Yue as he was only politically married to her, but also was fishy himself and was the cause of her discord with her Second Sister. I find it quite ridiculous that stories always make it seem like the OG was bad, even though they had their own circumstances
Now, this story is a true reverse harem, although it's quite obvious that both the author and the MC favours Fei Yue (green hair). While I originally liked him too, I find him quite plain and lackluster compared to Bai Yu and Qian Han. Esp Bai Yu, he's now my favourite of the entire story.
At this point in time (chapter 170), I'm actually not too sure whether the MC truly "loves" any one of them. It's obvious that she loves them, but I'm not sure if it's the same "love" she originally had for her boyfriend before she transmigrated, as she had already denounced love at the start of the story.
In conclusion, there's a fair amount of drama and plotting, which is refreshing as the plotting is done together with the romance and not rushed. Every character gets a chance to shine, although Fei Yue seems to be in the lead.
Overall a really enjoyable story, would love it more if Bai Yu gets more love as he was the original body's lover.
