Description

Love the author’s execution and characterizations! Highly recommended for fans of psychological thriller romance mixed with toxicity and drama.

So deep and dark and angsty, but ever so gradually the romance is seeped in that you don’t even realize it. So beautifully written. Hands down, one of my favourite webtoons, but one that I wouldn’t easily suggest to others because of how mature it is. Definitely not for the faint of hearts, but if you’re up for yanderes, then you need to read this cuz this ML is a GREEN FLAG. Super rare to see and obvs doesn’t happen til a bit later, but the love-hate still continues even after he becomes green. It’s pretty special to be able to maintain that kind of dynamic throughout the whole story!

Comment before mine mentioned no smut. YES yes yes! I absolutely LOVE that there is zero smut, because it adds that much more depth to the storytelling when the author does sexy scenes. So delicious and yummy. I shouldn’t have to say it, but this is 100% my accolades to the art, design, storyboarding, and directing (some of those angles made me go woowwww!). It’s seriously high quality.

The plot twists keeps the story fresh! FL is so headstrong, even more untypical than your average “not like the typical female leads” type of characters. She’s unpredictable. ML loves her for that and so does every reader. She’s just so refreshing. Of course, the beginning is hard to stomach since she’s literally getting threatened, but it gets much better.

Someone mentioned that the story gets boring though. Fair point, but it IS a slow burn. The story is meant to be deep and drawn out by way of other characters. Nobody was a flat archetype — every supporting character was interesting in some way and had meaning given to them.

I binge read this so fast (cuz it was SO GOOD) that I’m gonna have to re-read this. And I never consider reading a completed work — because why waste time reading something again when you can read something new!? — but this series actually makes me want to come back to it. It’s… just… that… amazing.

Whoa, if you come for the sizzling hot, stewed, slow as heck but delicious as steak love story between the Fl and the ML, this is the right place. rarely have I seen so much care, love and dedication to show a sensual, slow descent into madness... Passion style. While both Fl and ML have their idiosyncrasies and are sometimes maddening characters, their chemistry was off the charts, and some of their panels were pure visual decadence! Trust me, it is a feat for the sore eyes, and a delicacy where even the faintest brush of tastes like a small heaven.

But skip all the rest. The supporting cast, the whole vampire story. Simply MEH. Not bottom of the barrel by far, but nothing special. don't remember half of it. Too bad, since at some points, this takes up a chunk of the manhwa. I stopped reading Olgami (in November 2023) this for this reason, then came back to it after it was completed (June 2024), but even on second reading, the story was still MEH. I had no inetrest in anything happening with Geurim, Rose, Father and the whole lot. it becomes too convoluted, to complex way too soon and only goes downhill from there. If only this story was solely focused on FL, ML, and perhaps a realistic antagonist who could have also been a 2nd male lead, I think this manhwa whouls have been MUCH, much better.

How, it's still an incredibly fine slowburn, 70% of it. Since there are but a few quality slowburns out there, then why the heck not read and enjoy it.

So many amazing characters, each with their own stories that overlap. I never hated any of them.

It's amazing how well this story tells of a romance where they are both a tormentor and a savior to the other. It's darkly beautiful.

Update: FANTASTIC ending with the side story/epilogue chapters. It's exactly what most readers probably wanted.

When I first read this, I thought the ML was complete scum. He has a total disregard for her life and I was shocked that he was supposed to be the ML. I'm glad the FL pointed out how trash he was and made the ML feel guilty. Hopefully the ML suffers more before the author unfortunately makes them get together.

every thing is great in the manhwa
the art and the whole feel of it suits the plot very well
the characters are well written specifically the FL. usually we see a genius FL with so much plot armor that there usually isn't as much excitement and the outcome would be very predictable but in Olgami's case the FL is just an ordinary girl trying her best to have a normal life and escape from park yoon soo(the ML).so some of her decisions may seem dumber than other characters in other manhwas but definitely more realistic and interesting and just keeps you guessing what might happen next
