As a seasoned WEBTOON reader, I have never read a more chaotic series than this one.
This is a true rollercoaster ride, because all the plot twists and new characters being introduced only to die in the next chapter will give you whiplash and make you think, “what the hell did I just read?!” Seriously, the pacing of this series goes at 500 mph. It’s so wild.
However, given the depth of the story (so deep and thoughtful), character creation and designs (so amazing), the world building, and just everything, the author and editors did an amazing job cramming and fitting all that into JUST 66 chapters. That is a true feat and accomplishment, and it’s pretty amazing they pulled it off. Usually we complain about slow pacing and bad pacing, but this series was consistent (with their crazy pacing) throughout. For that fact alone, they deserve praise.
On the other hand, it’s a shame they didn’t explain and go into detail more. This really should have been at least 200+ chapters.
Lastly, of course, gotta rave about the art. UGH it was so good. It didn’t really hook me at first, but by ch 5 I was in. And the art only gets better and better, especially towards the middle with all the big fight scenes.
Ah. I will say this series was more gruesome and gory than I expected. A few scenes were actually really horrific - it’s not meant for kids, that’s for sure.
