Underwhelming

This story was just so thin. There was no real character development (especially for the seme). By having very little plot most of the usual problems were avoided. But even with the seme insisting that he doesn’t want to own the uke the thing that comes across the most is the usual “domestication of the femme.” The uke is supposed to be strong-willed and outspoken, but this is only shown long enough to emphasize how much the seme has changed him uwu. One of the other characters literally says “look how docile he’s become,” as if that’s a good thing. All it managed to do was invalidate the only character development the mangaka bothered with. I’d say the art was nice, but the uke was so feminine that it felt like I was reading a hetero love story most of the time. Maybe if it was uncensored it would be worthwhile as smut, but censored it reads more like a shallow hetero romance.

seme was honestly cute in the overtly-proper/courteous socially awkward richkid way but honestly genuinely a decent human being who was super direct about what he wanted and didn't bother with plotting or manipulation or whatever. i love those sorts of characters. the rating on this is as high as a 6 probably only because of the seme

the uke is terrible. cookie-cutter, flat, goes into histrionics irrationally, irrational hatred of alphas just because he was born an omega, and chooses irrationally to follow his body's primal urge for sex despite 'not liking the seme' just cos'. i'm not convinced he didn't confuse their physical chemistry for emotional compatibility at the end. just. no. we need more omegas who transcend this stereotype, please.

Overall, I feel that the plot of this story is super cute and adorable. I love all of the characters, and the way that they interact with each other is realistic. The only minor issue I have is that the uke looks like a girl. While it is true that he works as a crossdresser, even without drag he still looks like a chick, so if you have a problem with that, then don't read this. However, aside from that, the art is cute, and this manga is a must-read.

The mangaka probably wanted to write a shoujo manga but had not luck with that. So, she drew a girl with completely-censored-in-white male genitalia and in her mind, she thought that story was legit yaoi. Since I went out of my way to write a comment, I'll even say that the mangaka needs to read as reference material Hyakujitsu no bara, Crimson spell, Sex pistols, Ze and other great yaoi to find out why people read yaoi with pure, feminine guys as ukes and not shoujo stories.
