101 Chapters (Complete)

"awesome twist" because it was the first time i've encountered such plot in Webtoon. i have to agree that s3 was a bit of a downer because of the flashbacks that are understandable to place but lessened the momentum from s2. Nevertheless, the story is great. I really liked the detective aspect of the MC. Art is beautiful.
Awesome art, cool plot.
The plot twist at s2 was so shocking and exciting for s3 !!
But then all we got was a loooooot of flashbacks and a rushed ending with too many questions left, and some dumb decisions from nearly all characters that really don't make sense which create borderline plot holes !! Kinda disappointed not gonna lie so I will forget s3 and remember s1 and s2 who were incredible.
Okay so I wasn't expecting the plot twist at the end of season 2 but I didn't expect the couple I became comfortable with to be a total sham. To be honest I was hoping for more of a yandere story. The main character who I hoped to like became less likeable. Not because their past or whatever they went through but I really was hoping for a a genuinely nice character. It not that the story was bad because it was well written in a way understandable to readers. But it's just so messed up and sad. I wish I knew what I was getting into. Or rather knew that this story wasn't necessary what I was looking for. It wasn't a drag to read but it one of those stories that leaves you contemplating because it forces you to accept the plot twist as the reality and the bubbly tender moments as a lie.
I expected much more simplicity but I'm left confused because of the route the story chose to take.
Let me explain:
It wasn't the DID personality disorder that bothered me but rather that Emma accidentally stabbed her "true love" who never had feelings for her in the first place. The second male lead doesn't bother me but I can't help but think that the "fake" relationship in season one and two was just written off. It's better then accepting the fact that Emma tried to threaten and assault Elios's "real" girlfriend. You learn that she took both the personality of Elios and his girlfriend just to shape her "sweet" personality. It's only her tragic backstory that makes me pity her but it felt pointless to care when she tried to get with Elios and failed miserably despite stalking him all the time. Like I get she was obsessed but she could have tried harder instead of hoping to have a chance with him after harassing the girlfriend. I felt like the DiD personality
disorder could have been used more creatively. But then again the author admitted to not doing proper research, so basically Emma is just crazy. The author may have planned this from the get-go but I feel like "sweet" Emma's supposed boyfriend got stolen by a random character I'm supposed to adapt to all of a sudden because Emma's supposed to be this crazy obsessed girl for the rest of the story because that's the true Emma. Like it came out of nowhere and she didn't end up with the second male lead either in case you're wondering. More like open ended.
As a yandere lover I didn't enjoy this. I usually like yanderes with a personality and not just I kill you if you touch them. That's why it's hard for me to find good yandere stuff because most stick to the same generic formula. So I was hoping this wouldn't be that but sadly I only felt that way with season 1.
The art was pretty charming and fluffy so that's what help me continue season 3 despite having more of a serious tone.
I think season 1 was good season 2 okay season 3 leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it forces me to see season one and two as a waste.
But I think it's a least a decent story for enjoying mystery but as a romance is quite tragic and not even the good kind of tragic love story but was a bit weak in romance due to the female lead being a sham/
lack of mutual romantic feelings with either male lead.
So, it had 2 solid good seasons, that i just couldn't put it down, and one mediocre one, but still ok. And yes unfortunately the mediocre one, was also the last. Still, no regrets in reading it, and the end seemed befitting. I also liked the plot twists quite a bit. All things considered, I enjoyed it, and i especially liked one of the MCs (yohan), even if in the end i didnt really get him 🙂
not a big fan of the twist
where it turns out Elios was a figment of her imagination the whole time and she was the one doing the killings
I liked the series as a story about a manipulative relationship cause there was a lot of tension wondering if Emma would find out about Elios and if she did, whether he'd be able to get her on his side. And if she finds out, would she feel guilty about the stuff he did? Could Yohan manage to turn Emma against Elios? A lot of directions the series could have gone. But
as a story about a generically crazy girl who just kills people that wrong her it's not nearly as interesting. I still want to see how it ends but there's no way they can drag it out longer since it already lost all its steam with the twist. Just feels like they kneecapped any of the potential drama or character development they could've had and anything else at this point will have to be really contrived. I'd love to be proven wrong but I think there's nowhere you can take a story after that shitty Shyamalan twist.
Update: Oh man, it just keeps getting worse and worse. Every new chapter sets a new record for how bad the story can get. This is some truly horrible stuff!
If you can get past the horrific event of the first episode, you will find that the male MC makes a 'good' yandere. I suggest it to yandere lovers, and lovers of the horror romance genre; horror being used as a loose term, as it is not gorey (so far), it's just the crazy mind of the male lead. The female lead is a bit naive, but that is expected in these kinds of stories, and she's still pretty likeable.
I love the shades of all the characters and their realistic reactions. It's really addictive. Poor Emma, her kindness will be her downfall
