Someone said she looks similar to the beautiful sister but the issue isn't that FL is ugly. FL is the lesser version (as we can see from the art: the eyelashes that the older sister had, FL needs makeup to enhance her look). FL lived her life on the shadow, she's never ugly but she's raised to believe she's not the beauty because that's how society is, you're not ugly when they don't have anyone else to compare you with but then you're suddenly a beast when someone slightly better appeared. It's a typical light hearted shoujo manga, love it.

Makoto has ALWAYS looked like her sister

Biggest issue with this manga is that the sisters look like twins. Because of that it makes it extremely hard for me to understand WHY people treat her differently.

For instance this moment in the first chapter: Link 1 & Link 2 She literally looks like a smaller version of her sister. Because of that, it makes it very hard for me to understand why her parents would say what they said, or why anyone would treat her the way they treat her.

How hard is it to make her eyes just slightly sharper or something so I as a reader can see the difference between the two and grasp why some might consider her sister prettier.

This one issue sort of messes up the whole story concept for me as it doesn't make sense to me why people treat her the way they do. Honestly it would make more sense to have people harassing Makoto with questions like: "why are you not a model too? You look just like your sister did you know that?" Heck if the story followed that sort of direction then Makoto could still suffer from her identity crisis and it would make sense why people treat her this way.

The sheer shoujo-ness pervades...

It's got all the classic requirements - prince-like male love interest (with hints of darker past), clumsy but cute female lead (with an inferiority complex, no less...), romantic plot, interfering friends, pretty (but seriously generic) art style, etc.. The work doesn't really tax your brain in terms of deeper subplots (cause as of yet, there aren't any), but it's amusing enough for a shoujo.

It's a shoujo so you can't expect too much out of it, but I really like this one. Sakai Mayu's art never fails to look amazing and I really like the way the story is progressing. The main character isn't an idiot and is actually trying to make things better for herself. The guy is still a little puzzling to me, but of course it won't be anything crazy since it's shoujo. But I'm really loving Shiroyuki (the gothloli girl) because of her amazing one liners and advice to Makoto.
