78 Chapters (Complete)

I honestly think the writer had a check list of things they wanted to include/have in the story and this is the story we got out of it. You go from one incident to the next without stopping. The story never flows well even until the end. I had to stop reading it by 72 and just skip to the end which was close. And wow was that a trash ending.
Rating: 4 (Bad)
Time of Review: Chapter 70 (Pocket Comics)
I uh... hoooo... okay.. I was hoping for better, honestly. The story started out as if the characters were going to learn from their mistakes and have some sort of better understanding of each other and BDSM, but it just... doesn't happen. It feels like the author generally knows what they're talking about, but as if they've never experienced it or know the intricacies of BDSM.
At first I was curious about why the author chose a "sfw" or more viewer-friendly rating for this story, and in the end I'm still very unsure why they made that choice. It could be a pretty dangerous First Look into BDSM for anyone unawares.
You Might Also Like: Please, please, if you're interested in DBSM don't use this story as a guide. Please learn more first, and not from 50 shades either. I don't have any other recs though.
I don't personally like the art, both main characters are incredibly flat and for a serious dealing with kink there's very little eroticism going about. But there's really nice ropework at times, if that's what gets you going. Also some LGBT representation, yai.
Further, refer to what the other review says about this horribly misrepresenting BDSM - Young people exploring this kind of relationship and making mistakes can be fine. There are more experienced side characters that could point out these flaws, take an advisory role and at least make sure the story as a whole handles this topic responsibly. But they don't really.
Early on, there's a chapter pointing out that BDSM isn't all "creeps in gimp-suits", but then serves up heaps of trauma, mishandling and abuse. It could still grow, over time and maybe become a more rounded story overall. But I won't be checking back to see if it does.
This series is a huge misrepresentation of BDSM, and the actions of both main characters are dangerous and should not be used as a reference. There is no discussion of limits, landmines, past trauma, or health issues. A Dom/me does NOT just get to do whatever they want. Also, there is a lot more to Sub Drop than physical effects. There can also be psychological repercussions which are just as dangerous. And the method of After Care should be discussed with the Sub because each person is different with different needs. I wish the author would have done more research before writing this.
