Description

This type of story is really challenging to tell, in my opinion. There are so many ways it could go wrong. However, this is incredibly well done. I love the atmosphere from start to finish. I especially appreciate how Naruse took the time to reflect on his own feelings instead of falling into the common traps we often do. Certainly wasn't what I was expecting when I saw the cover, and I'm glad I picked this up.

I had this lingering sense of bittersweetness as I read through, how lovely they yearn for each other, longing in each other's warmth and presence. It got perfect pacing of realization of feelings and the Artist's style exquisitely expressed the pouring and hidden emotions they had.

All in all, this has to be among the best Japanese BL I've ever read, I highly recommend it!!

A type of love story we don't often see

This manga is so refreshingly realistic. It starts with the end of a 4-year relationship and explores the complicated emotions that lead up to and follow the break. I've never read a manga with such an authentic emotional journey. There's no over the top drama, but there's also nothing cliche. To me, this manga exemplifies the idea that precision and specificity are more important than originality. This is a story that occurs every day in countless lives all over the world—it's the details, the small specific ugly feelings, the complexity that make it great. This is very refreshing.
