Really, what's up with this manga? It's so trashy I find it hard to believe that someone would publish it for this long. I read up to chapter 50, which is 14 volumes, cringing most of the way but enduring because of how quick of a read it was, just had to drop it after that with how annoyed and frustrated I was getting.
The concept is not too bad, but the pacing is another thing altogether. It's all over the place, suddenly we're at one place, then another, then another. Things happen with no build up at all, suddenly they summon people with no substantial explanation, creatures evolve super fast for no good reason, suddenly they summon objects without explaining why or how, suddenly they do all kinds of crap but no one ever explains why so readers are left wondering what's even happening.
The protagonist is also very unlikable. For SOME reason, everyone loves him, for some reason, he's way too awesome despite acting like a humble japanese doormat protagonist most of the time. He also has no real power but it took me 40 chapters to figure out through bits and pieces that he's not supposed to be functionally immortal but rather that he's just being babied by everyone around him as he, despite being something akin to a god for some unexplainable reason, is weaker than all of his subordinates and has to be CARRIED through the towers. But the towers are captured in about half a chapter to one chapter, we don't really see anything related to the capture other than which type of dungeon it is and that they captured it. Yay. Hell, no matter how much "managing" he does with his towers, it makes no real difference because the adventurers don't matter nor does anything else, he has no real goal it seems, I'm unsure of the point since we're never shown how his changes affect the adventurers, how it affects the creatures and so on, most of the managing isn't even done by him but all the various people around him that he just hands off management rights to willy-nilly, we just see small snippets of results of whatever he does, like creatures having evolved randomly when he visits by sheer dumb luck, there's no sense of accomplishment or progress to be had here.
The goddesses love him, the side characters love him (except a few stupid antagonists), every single person that has any measure of presence is female, everyone wants to have sex with him despite him being plainly unattractive for all to see. He really has no positive points to speak of personality or strength-wise, he just has a lot of loyal puppies that he bangs regularly when THEY attack him, because god forbid he take any initiative himself, nah, he's just a s*x doll to be willingly reverse-rped. Oh, but for some reason he's displayed as a genius at using divine powers or something, making divine artifacts to left and right with no explanation given.
The art is bad too, very rough and so many times where somewhat more difficult parts like one eye (especially on animals/wolves) are excluded and side shots and other lazy shots are abundant.
Worst of all, everyone acts like they're morons. The protagonist comes up with ideas that anyone can easily think up and should've thought up long ago and people are like "oh my god, I can't believe how smart he is, how can he think so far ahead, he's such a genius". It's painful to read such pandering over actions and ideas that are at a kindergarten level. Things like him thinking up that it's good to know the resources in his own tower and everyone's going "oh my god, to think he's thinking so far ahead, I can't believe my ears, such supreme intellect", dude, you'd have to be a true-blooded moron for that not to be one of the things you think about in the first day of owning the place, much less weeks or months afterwards... All of them have the personality of a brick, they're so 1D that I can't believe they're actually 2D.
The antagonists are similarly stupid and dealt with instantly because of him having OP retainers and OP gods on his side. Pretty much solved in one chapter, no idea what they were even trying to do. Hard to care when they're all irrelevant and has no effect on the story at all. Especially the church is hilarious, they're shown divine "miracle" items and then proceed to try to rob the items after being warned, this happens multiple times throughout the story, even when warned directly by the goddesses they're like "that sh*t is ours" and tries to take it again, even RIGHT AFTER they were warned to back off by their literal goddesses. They also keep on scheming for power despite said warnings. For what? Yeah, the author just wants to self-insert as the protagonist and praise himself by claiming that "only they can use the item because he made it", they then temporarily back off while claiming "oh my, our plans have gone a little awry it seems, but who could've expected how awesome the protagonist was, oh well, let's not give up after being warned by the gods we literally pray to and instead try to circumvent the rules". I'm appalled at how much of a wish-fulfillment story with no depth this is, at least most wish-fulfillment stories would make some sense and the protagonist would legitimately be awesome.
Everything just falls into place for him, everyone exists to love and adore him despite him being a subpar example of a human being at best. He could just lie around and fart all day while leaving everything to his subordinates and everyone would praise the divine smell of his a*s. Even all the goddesses are smitten with him for no reason. I bet he's actually the creator god or something with how fate and luck seems to bend over backwards to his desires.
Don't even get me started on his attire, with his overly chuuni appearance and enormous, oversized brooch.
