This was a great one and had the potential to be truly awesome with more chapters. Although I miss the vampire girl and countess from hellsing, this is good on its own. I love how alucard is lolicard in this prequel. I think I would've preferred if alucard was lolicard in the original as well, seriously, a dude going around being a vampire and immortal is great and all that, but if it's a cruel, black loli vampire instead? The impact is completely different and I really like that more, it would at least be easier to root for her. I wish we could get such a parallel dimension version or just that this prequel went on for longer.
So, on to the story itself, we don't get to see much here. It's set 50 or so years before the first manga and we're currently in the middle of when the nazis seemingly sprung up for the first time. Walter is a youngster and alucard is a loli, but we don't have many other characters I'd care much about. We also see some familiar faces on the enemy side other than the chubby major, like the werewolf, scientist/doctor and if I'm not mistaken, the girl from that battleship who was good at using a musket amongst others.
We instantly get into the situation where walter and lolicard is flying to stomp down the nazis in the middle of their vampirification/ghoul experimentation, we get some more information that weren't known in the first manga and we get to see them descend at wreak some havoc. Sadly, that's pretty much it. We don't get much before the short 6 chapters or 100-110 pages end. There really isn't much to say, but it had the same tone as the original hellsing and it gets a plus point to the score for lolicard being there.
You might not like this if you have a deep-seated grudge against lolis like some people though. Other than that, this is a must read for anyone who liked the first hellsing manga.
