The story keeps dragging on. The story is good, though. It's just that the sense is slowly fading as the story progresses.

Lost me in the ending

The premise was interesting and for the first time we see an actual portrait of an intersting yandere character not the doggy like boring one's in webcomics. I liked the fl, I didn't like her husband. He was not the guy for her and I was dissapointed by the end they got. I enjoyed the story overall but the ending was just not it. I had expected something similar to happen but it felt way too rushed and way too open for my liking when I had invested so much time in the series

Started out promising but went downhill

I am so ambivalent towards this work. I don't know what it tries to achieve, frankly. If this is a guilty pleasure done for a niche public, since ML and FL don't end up together, it's a failure. If this is a nuanced, heavy psychological drama, it also fails, since, expect the ML, most other characters were too broadly written and the plot goes completely bonkers in the last third of the manhwa. So while this gripped me until a certain point (and boy was I hooked and enjoyed it), it lost me completely after that. And what a sad, sad waste.

No, to be more precise about whta buggs me here, it's mostly the contrived setup and the way the story flows. IMHO, this would have been a much more profound, deep manhwa if it dealt with a messed up FL and a majorly messed up Ml, and their complex, love hate relationship. But the author went down a different route, trying to make this into a cautionary tale against Stockhold syndrome and this was not handled well.

If this were a manhwa about a messed up woman who falls into a sick, twisted relationship with a lunatic, this story would make sense. But when we have a normal, boring FL with a terribly Mary Sue perfect husband (hated this characer so much), who can't escape from a overbearing gangster, we have a problem. I can see about 10 different ways how FL could have reacted at this whole mess and go on with her life. But to feel that she must divorce her husband, hide stuff from him and accept being the ML's mistress... Heck no. Too stretched, too unrealistic, and the ML isn't an Emperor or Duke or something that can coerce her into this relationship as he pleases. Granted he is powerful, but come on, not that powerful! Does ML really thing he was threaten the lives of her parents and husband and then end up with her in a relationship? Too many plot holes here.
As I said, it would have been infinitely more interesting if the FL wasn't such a bland, normal person, but also a bit shady, and with some weird desires. But nah, we don't get that. and the FL's husband... I really, really disliked his character. he's simply the perfect husband, worker, friend... You get the picture. And these kind of characters are the most boring, and the ones I don't want to read about at all.

Also, the plot goes south after FL escapes. Don't want to spoil it too much, but the things that happen afterwards were one miss after the other. While the plot had some coherence before, it falls apart spectacularly. The only thing that interested me by that point was the ML, he's by far the most well drawn, interesting char. He's not a good person, but a intriguing fictional char for sure. Sadly he also starts to unravel by the end of the manhwa, like the writers simply went haywire for some reason! But I enjoyed the buildup and there were some pretty good moments between ML and FL.

But the art was top class! Loves it so much!

ok, but unrealistic

This story is a wishfull thinking of a girl). It's actually just your ordinary love story, kind of "the duke and me&quot😉)), but with a twist, where the girl never consent to the "duke". But imho it would be a better story, if it was made in traditional chick-lit pattern of stockholm syndrome. Because the behaviour of main evil character just wasn't realistic at all. Authentic bad guy without restrain would never suddenly turn lovey-dovey, not the way it was described in the webcomic. If you want something really good and realistic with that type of a storyline - go read "Break Her" by B. G. Harlen (a novel, not a manga, but good)

hands down most strong-minded FL

It's definitely not for the faint hearted. Too many heavy themed scenes. Goddamn, the plot is so intense. I can't imagine myself being in her shoes. Her love for her husband is strong; my heart cries for her. Her will to finish this to the end is commendable. I hope she will win this.

As ya all might know how's the ending,Right fc will never love him and finally reunited with her ex-husband and The psycho will die.I saw many people were shipping her with That psycho just because he looks hot,Looks fades away with time never forget that.it's like the shippers totally forgot how she went through cuz of him what didn't he do to her rape blackmail gang rape video recording humiliate in front of many people what not.Just think is that really good for her to forget everything and fall for her just because he fell for her then,Love is not that cheap a real lover never hurts her partner it's more like as long as she's with him it's fine even if she don't like him, overall the story he just wanted to pressurize his feelings onto her,even when i imagined all things just felt nauseous and hoped never ever this kind of situation occurs to anyone.The author and artist cleverly portraited that Love can't be gain by force we manhua readers see many plots where fc falls for bossy ceo despite she's hurt by him many times those were illogical to me.Only this ending seemed real she chose the person who didn't force her btw genuinely loves her.

And it's coming from a manhua, the last place I'd expect. How on earth a single story can portray so much suffering and trauma without becoming pity-porn and instead maintain actual suspense is beyond me.

Reading this - as a woman - felt almost cathartic. Her continuous defiance, her calculative personality, her occasional apathy. They feel more realistic than they have any right to. I think anyone who is reading this for romance will have a bad time though, cause you aren't meant to root for the male lead although the author is certainly setting out to confuse the audience from time to time. Judging by the comment I read under chapters, I'd say the readers are suffering from Stockholm syndrome instead of the female lead.

Fascinating dynamic to witness.
Art is pretty good - it fits the setting.

It's more of a psychological horror/drama and definitely shouldn't be considered a romance. If you start thinking they're "cute together" or start shipping them, drop the comic because it's incredibly unhealthy and wrong given what the ML does. Imagine him as some ugly, greasy man who's commited the exact same crimes and think if you'd still ship them lmfao.
The art is good too which makes it even more fun to read, plus the FL is a strong willed woman who's willing to do whatever to get out of her situation and to save herself. She's also not 2 dimentional which is incredibly refreshing, especially when you read other comics with strong female leads they tend to be very flat and give off the same aura no matter the situation, but ofc irl we tend to act differently depending on the situation and it's circumstances so it's nice to see the FL being very realistic almost?
