Description

Would you rather be the target of a ruthless gang of loan sharks or become the boy-toy of an unhinged corporate heir for a year? This is the predicament Hojin finds himself in when Yooseong, a former one-night stand, wrestles him into a deal that’ll solve all his money problems. I've enjoyed it but it was kinda concerning. The end of the main story was annoying af I hated it so bad and I honestly don't like it at all;/ The side stories were really boring but it doesn't affect my score for it.

MULTIPLE actions of ML were super sus and you can't really excuse most of them, but considering all they are both kinda mentally unstable, broken boys, that just needed someone with a bit of stability and comfort, AND BESIDES ALL THOSE SUS THINGS, they really gave each other what they were craving for!

The top is a huge green flag, and the first chapter seems like it'll be a really warm story... but then, nope, the bottom (a rich, powerful, cold type, usually would be a top in other stories) is the same kind of red-flag asshole you'd find in any rich-character-essentially-buys-character-in-debt-for-sex style BLs
I am exceptionally disappointed. If it had started off with that kind of vibe I think I would have maybe given it a chance, but it just got my hopes WAY up first

Damn it all, I was so excited to read this bcs of the Seme being the Mc and being a green flag, but they just HAD to make the uke an ass. Bffr. THE UKE LITERALLY

LOCKS THE SEME IN A CELL, WITH HIS NECK CHAINED THERE 💀💀 WHAT?? THIS IS NOT HOT, THIS IS CONFINEMENT…😕 Its givingggg killing stalking. Kill me NEOW.

Anyways, I've seen some really cute panels from this manhwa posted in the comments section of the site I was reading this on, so I will probably finish reading this in the future, when I have more patience and tolerance (?). Anyways I'm definitely gonna read this once it’s completely translated!!

Update: it’s been 5 months since I wrote the above review, this manhwa is now completed, and I am currently binge reading it, and boy do I have some things to say.

I don’t like violence irrespective of their position, either bottom or top. Don’t raise your hand even if you are pissed. Loving the make-up sex and all, but maybe we should get some apologies you know. Some people may not care since it was the bottom that beat up the top, but abuse is abuse no matter who did it. 😅

… NO GUYS HEAR ME OUT THEIR DYNAMIX GREW ON ME. THEYRE MESSING WITH MY STANDARDS AND LOWERING THEM INTO HELL. NO JOKE THIS GOT SO GOOD TOWARDS THE END.

**The good: **
-Art (character designs, setting, lighting, etc.)
-writing (very note worthy quotes that I loved...many comedic moments...)
-panel layouts
-Character development !!(more so of the uke Yoosung). Starts out very toxic but much less later on lmao.
-The characters (Both male MCs, the younger brother, the mother etcetera. Their personalities, how they are written. How much polar oppisities the MCs are, one seme puppy happy type and the other a psychopatic uke who is cute at times)
-The story (The Baek family drama; it had a beginning, middle and satisfying ending. Considering the dysfunctional family and semi-dysfunctional relationship between Yoosung and Koo Hojin).
-The analogy/metaphors used by the author in different scenes (for example the cat on tv comparison to Yoosung. Another example is the meteor name conversation).
-The omegaverse sidestory Alternative Universe chapters were a nice bonus! It used a few elements of the main story but in an ABO universe.

** The not so good **
-How Yoosung treats Koo Hojin...even though his commitment to Hojin is really cute. But there is character development!! I was curious why his personality is like that but:

his family did a number on him and he had a bad past love experience. So the guy really developed into an asshole but also he has such a psychopatic personality and psychopatic actions because of how his family treated him...I mean look at his own mother and how she treats him. I think the only person in that family who is normal is the cute younger brother Also oddly enough, by the end of the story I actually enjoy their dysfunctional romantic relationship. They both love each other and would go to the extreme for each other. Even if it involves ! harming a sibling of their signficant other, slapping/punching the other or running away, kindapping and chaining them and threating to kill them. LMAO I just realized that Yoosung the uke is the one who has done all of this and the running away part Hojin the seme did ahaha....

Side note but I would love a side story of the younger brother. Especially because:

He is also free from his grandfather and not needing to succeed the position of CEO, so he is free to paint and now has a cuter look since he dyed his hair cotton candy pink waaaahhhhh. The author on Twitter I think said that they were thinking a partner for him, but that they were written as straight so I doubt. I am really looking forward to any potential new series from the author, hopefully a sequel to this or if it's a whole new story then that's great too. A comedy romance would be nice.
