It's pretty amusing, but it's just about only a big collection of continuous gags with no proper story and a lot of the "jokes" fail to be funny, it's only because there's so many that it's somewhat amusing. It revolves heavily around people getting hit or abused by the devil king in one way or another, either physically or mentally.
It's also one of those things where you can't feel any attachment whatsoever to any of the characters, no matter how serious it might try to be at rare occasions. It's rare for me to feel so utterly detached from the character cast. I mean, honestly... I can't bring myself to like or dislike any of the characters, I have no feelings whatsoever for them. They're just there to tell some crappy gags and as characters they fail to be interesting enough to even make me care about them in any way. Usually badly written characters would make me hate them, but in terms of character construction this one is so bad/hollow that I just don't care... So, it's fine to read this fast without reading it closely and try to laugh at any jokes that happen to hit your funny bone, because there should be a few that does even if most of them miss. So, for what it is, a gag manga with no story or proper writing, it's fine. Even if the author try to insert some story later on it doesn't work, might as well skip anything that looks remotely serious because it's not going to be good in any way... I'm serious, this author can't write a proper story for shit, all that he can manage is recycling a few jokes, I was almost bored to death when he tried to put in story in something that should never have it, I guess that's why the devil king is so bored. It's worth a read, it doesn't take long anyway. I give it a 6 for being "above average" but below "good".
I also wish that people would learn to use ratings properly, those giving a 10 at everything they like can go fck themselves, 10 is for "flawless", meaning it's perfect and there was no problems whatsoever, one of the greatest things you've ever read. Even a 9 is really hard to give to anything. Those people giving a 1 because they didn't like it that much can also go fck themselves, they screw up ratings. It has to be utterly horrible beyond any reason to get a 1...
One thing that pissed me off was blatant rip offs that the author didn't even try to change in the least, just using as is, clearly not caring at all about it. It's not really amusing for several reasons to see identical jokes that the author clearly didn't think up by himself or even changed. To mention one of many such things, let's take one that most people would recognize. When there's a team of guys wanting to get across a bridge, there's a sphinx there asking questions and just letting one across for each guy that answers three correctly and it went exactly like in monty python the holy grail, the first guy gets three easy questions and then the second guy gets "The same questions" but the last one is something much harder that stumps them and they get thrown over the bridge into the abyss... and then the one guarding the bridge and asking the questions get asked something really stupid that is hardly a question("why do you ask 3 and not 2 or 4 questions") and the guard responds with "I don't know" and then the guard gets thrown over JUST like in the movie etc. I mean, come on. It was so identical that I felt like someone just watched it and copied everything. That's just annoying, even if people who've never seen the joke before might find it amusing. It's fine to use material from other people, but if you do you need to change it and properly make it your own instead of just copy-pasting stuff, because it's just going to piss people off and make people question whether or not the author is somewhat retarded and can't think up his own jokes based on the material he collects.
Oh, but at the end of "season 1", the author pretty much mentions that he never went to art or manhwa cram school or anything else, so he's pretty much got no experience or proper tutoring. For that, I guess it's an acceptable first work. However, that doesn't change the fact that it's pretty much crap. The jokes are most of the time stale and just aren't funny and as the story goes on, it becomes more and more boring until we reach around chapter 40-50 and the author is trying to start a more serious story all of a sudden. However, here we see his lack of experience and talent even more when it comes to story writing and it's boring enough to deserve me to drop the whole thing to a 3/10 instead of 6, but I don't drop it because of respect for his first work and that it managed to make me laugh a few times before that. For a first work, it'd be a little bit above average, just as my rating suggests. So... yeah. He really can't write for shit, so if this was a serious story from the start and not a gag one where story shouldn't matter, he'd get a 2/10, it's just that bad. I wonder why he even tried to make it more serious and into a story? It's not going to work, he'd have to start all over again to have a chance at making something even remotely decent. Haah. The serious parts feels like a 12 year olds fantasy story.
