This is purely my opinion. No one is obligated to agree with me
Seriously, this manga gets mixed feelings from me. The premise itself was kinda interesting, although it DID bother me that everything had to revolve around the idea of sex. The story pacing was very distracting - like I can't even determine whether or not it's trying to be fast, slow or f**k-all.
But my biggest problem is the characters, specifically Kurosawa and Tsurumi - I hold no endearment to them at all. We're supposed to give a s**t about their story - like damn! Kurosawa may be messed up but her life's REALLY SAD. However, instead of being sad with her, I only feel annoyance whenever she's on the page. It's like...after her story arc (or whatever you call it), she was just...there. There was little development after the incident with "Aiko-sensei", as she was always this broken soul who constantly needs to be freaking saved. It's harsh...yeah. I am harsh, but I DO KNOW that she has a huge potential as a character - that's what pissed me off the most.
Then, there's Tsurumi...oh that poison-tongued obnoxious master of obliviousness. Good fking Lord, this guy drives me nuts. Granted his role is solid and it's his personality that's supports the flow of the story. But the way he talks, the way he acts all obnoxious and st...like WTF is up with this dumba*s 😕 I got so angry when he told Kurosawa that she 'deserved' to experience unfortunate events, I was sitting there silently screaming "Why the f**k isn't anyone getting angry over this 😕 " He is just...unbearable for me. Again, this is just my opinion
The main girl -Ikeno...well, I don't have a serious problem with her. Her personality's quite a generic one for a shoujo - shy, overthinking (though I can't blame her for this) etc etc. But I like how she doesn't over react to everything (ie. Freezing whenever crush goes tsundere and s**t). However, the way she takes a while to actually do something really annoys me, but well, I guess it's fairly realistic - given that you have an alien in your head.
Last but not the least, Tomo-kun...I feel really bad for saying this, but when I first saw him I was like - "Oh man...there's gonna be a forced love triangle here...=_=" Later on, although this notion didn't change, I felt kinda attached to his character. Yes yes, it this is gonna be like 90% of shoujo's, Ikeno still ends up with Tsurumi (ah Hell no), but I'm really hoping his character can at least be explored a lot more - make him to be more than a 3rd wheel.
For now, this is all I should be saying..the story itself is very interesting, as I love stories that keep me asking questions. Just disappointed that it wasn't executed very well.
