The story follows a series of bizarre murders of schoolgirls who have been dismembered and stuffed into boxes. Four people -- police detective Kiba, novelist Sekiguchi, used book store owner and onmyoudou practitioner Chuuzenji and private-eye Enokizu -- are summoned via various avenues to investigate this case and its connection to the disappearance of a rich young heiress.

The four recurring characters of Kyougoku Natsuhiko's Kyougokudou novels make their reappearance in this adaptation of the second instalment of the series.
