They are either conniving, elitist and holier than thou bitches or waaaay too innocent, naive and, worst of all, meddling, love-struck little brats who keeps pulling the MC into difficult situation. There's nothing in between.
19 chapters in and I am so tired of MC excusing the women's behavior. He even says to the brat that it's not her fault when she, quite literally, ran face-first into danger and pulled him along.
He could have said no and not joined her in her convoluted attempt at suicide but naaaah. She very likely would not have gone to the event, free c-class weapon for attending or not, if he'd just walked away.
I'm beyond frustrated even though I loved the premise of an old man becoming young again.
MC does not give a good, credible excuse of not joining his buddy's guild either. Obviously this is a standard plot in these kinds of stories where overpowered MCs are lone wolves but those stories, at least, attempt a half-assed excuse. This one doesn't even try.
It's even stated that large, powerful guilds like the one MC's friend is a guildmaster of basically runs the world. And MC's friend is an S-rank.
All of MC's idiotic "I can't be free to do the things I need to do" reasons don't make sense in that context. If he joined he would still be able to do whatever the hell he wanted and he'd gain the protection of a reputable guild with an S-rank guildmaster.
MC falls for every provocation, too.
What the fuck. This is so dumb and frustrating.
