Okay okay, let me preface by saying it's not a perfect story/perfect art (no piece of work ever is) and my rating is because either way I enjoyed it SO MUCH.
What a rollercoaster...A phenomenal piece of work... Storytelling wise....characters wise...artwork wise...I wish I could experience this webtoon all over again as if it's the first time.
Honestly.....what a beautiful excellent series. The writing, the artwork (and style) and characters were so beautifully crafted and presented in the form of a webtoon. The story had me hooked from start to finish. (It's not a surprise since the author mentions in one of the reviews(?) how they started working on it in 2017 but launched the webtoon officially in 2019.)
I liked how the author shows the flashbacks/makes reference to past scenes in the series here and there because often times the reader is left to think "?? wait is this suppose to be a callback to a certain scene in past chapters?" "Wait, is this scene suppose to have a meaning based on a past chapter scene ? ?" Etcetera.
I loved the art style early on but the author managed to improve even more. I loved the actual character designs they kept for the 4 main characters compared to the early designs. They are more memorable.
The writing: the story had depth. Backstories beautifully told and excellent writing. Great usage of flashbacks here and there.
The characters: again, characters with depth, the semes especially flawed in their own different ways but have character growth on their own and with help/because of the uke's. There were so many moments where the scenes made my heart ache because of what the main characters were going through (especially in the last season). Great relationship development between the couples and great sexual chemistry (especially the slow gradual sexual chemistry between the second couple).
This is really one of the best piece of webtoons I have read in a long time alongside others such as Bongchon Bride and Wolf in the House. Etc
Can't wait for the possible side stories!!!
Jun, the character spoiler comment:
Aw man I felt so bad for Jun's ending. It's a shame really that he was being an asshole to Woo-in when they were in highschool to someone who really needed support. I understand why Jun started treating Woo-in like that (because of his growing feelings for Woo-in) but as a writing/character standpoint I felt it was a bit out of left field. I felt like it was weird that he started treating him like that/ignoring him back when they were young...
