At first glance, Just Leave Me Be seems like another fix-it story about a dysfunctional father-daughter relationship. This time with extra green hair.
I was delightfully surprised, however, when I found out that that's not what the whole story is about. The MC still has to deal with her dumpster family, yes, BUT! This manhwa has a few mysteries—supernatural ones!!—of its own, and I'll admit I was excited to learn more about it. It's definitely one of the main reasons why I chose to stick around.
I was sorely disappointed when Adele didn't get to explore the mysterious forest again after her last encounter with the fairy in ch 24.
Also, a male lead who's neither cold, expressionless, nor blood thirsty? Who acts like a normal human being and is not as stiff as a human iceberg? Sign me up your honor.✋ There is definitely chemistry between him and the MC, Adele. Still needs a bit of work, though.
Adele is also a pretty good character in her own right. After she's sent back in time, she has one ultimate goal: to free herself of the shackles her "father" had put on her when she was a child. Step by step, she becomes less of a doormat and starts to grow some spine. Obviously, this concept is nothing new and has been done so many times before. But I'm sorta hoping she will bash her family's heads in with a monolith later on. So there's that.
Question:
In the beginning, everytime Adele goes into the forest, Hexion always follows her there. His excuse is "i saw u so i followed u." Stalker much, bro? Is his tent located near hers or something? Is that why he can easily spot her whenever she runs into the forest? Or perhaps he was lurking around her tent, waiting for her to come out?
P.S. I've only read up to ch 43.
