From the mind of one of the most skilled and multi-platform creators of our time comes this masterpiece about overcoming adversity. The author takes on the sensitive subjects of equality, femininity and empowerment, and tackles them in a palatable and contentious way that is easily digestible for those well versed on the matter, as well as those whom may actively run from such topics.
Admittedly, the cover art does this book no favors. However, I believe it draws in those that might benefit from the allegory within.
Also, because they couldn't see what was clearly printed between the lines, it wouldn't shock me if there are those whom would review this work, which has been called "a modern 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' ", poorly.
It is, in my humble opinion, a work of art that while shocking and insightful, will pull aside the curtains to new vistas; the plight of women's struggles, the hardships of those from minority ethnicities, classism and the value of true masculinity are showcased in a delicate manner that, upon completion, will leave the reader with plenty to think about.
