Description

Ever since Helga Yutrit found out that she was switched at birth with her half-sister, she has tried her best to shake off the stigma of being a fake by building up her reputation as the perfect daughter of House Yutrit. Helga's efforts all go to waste, though, when her half-sister Hillianne is discovered alive. I don't get why people think the revenge was inappropriate...?

I mean, it's a revenge story but even for the genre, it's pretty tame. It's clear that the FL has a warped view of her sister and surroundings due to trauma. And tbh that's the most believable aspect of the comic. From the comments I thought she did something truly heinous or violent but she didn't. The revenge is less on the sister, and more the sister being the accessory to the revenge. It's also clear in the comic that the FL is in the wrong for antagonising her sister.
Also yeah I got to agree... If you make a strong FL run away to be independent, it's pretty annoying to have the ML orchestrate things behind her back to help.
Honestly the protag just seems happy doing things by herself, so I almost don't WANT her to get with the ML. Like come on, he acts like her rightful place is by her side after her achievements but she never really had the goal to be empress anyway😕 Wasn't the whole point of her running away was that she never get to have a say in her future? Fam, just leave her alone...
In brief: Meh. Wish it wasn't a romance story, just leave the protag alone please.

Pretty bad

The pacing is slow as hell, the main plot is rushed, there are two time skips in less than 70 chapters (still can't believe it), other characters besides the FL and the ML are so damn forgetful, it doesn't give any proper message, 'cause the FL yeah, she's independent, strong and "smart", but after chapter 70 she's making totally ass decisions by throwing off every single strong power in the country that's backing her up 'cause "she has to do it alone".... even tho the FL has basically funded her with his massive amount of money.

The FL is no likeable either, she hates so much the real daughter when the real daughter has literally done anything for her, she even treats her family as trash for how cruel they were with the FL, still the FL hates her 'cause she "stole" everything from her but could never properly explain why she hates her so much, chapter 80 was the moment of "yeah this FL is trash" for me.

And the ML is a psycho disguised as a green flag. He's a massive stalker, has extremely bad anger management and tries to kill everything that approaches the FL, he knows EVERYTHING about her, her habits, her likes, her schedule, her money, he has tracked every single aspect of her life but still this shitshow tries to make him look like "he's so damn perfect", yeah, no.

And you know what's funny, the pacing is slow at the beginning, but the decides to speedrun the main plot with time skips and totally forgetful episodes.

I don't recommend this thing, is bad, the only single aspect that's good about this is how absurdly good the drawing is, seriously, it's astonishing.

Surprisingly good, but Korean authorism strikes again!

This was very good up until the ML found her again. It was WAY too early. And of course, we can't have a female lead achieve success without the ML organizing things in the background, no sir! Not in my Korean manwha! Not to mention how much of a stalker he's being and how no one, throughout many years, noticed a gang of shady people staking out a certain place. Like, what? No. Also how bad the second ML is. He's by far the better choice as an ML, but somehow doesn't do anything throughout 4 years of living together? Why?

Lastly, I see people calling the FL a bitch early on. This is a fair assessment, but also a good portrayal of what someone would feel in that situation. She didn't see her sister as the person she is, only what her appearance meant to her parents and herself. She does come to see her as a person, but choses not to abandon her plan.

Leave it to Korean authors to ruin the good stuff!

There has to be something wrong with someone's head when they enjoys a show about taking revenge on an innocent person just because she was part of the situation. I enjoyed so many revenge stories, but revenge stories that target an innocent person are not my style.

Not perfect but weirdly believable personalities

The author has written some characters that express some rather believable emotions. It might not be a series for everyone or have an enjoyable plot for all but just the interactions of the mc and her immediate circle of people all seems to be well grounded. i’ve yet to find more than a handful of interactions that caused me to say “that’s not how a human behaves”

Writing this as of chapter 35 , here’s hoping that it continues to be ok
On a side note speaking from experience, if you do find yourself relating with the character, try counselling! It’s worth it!

Frustrating, sad, and disappointing

Just remembering the plot and ending is frustrating, sad, and disappointing. As the reader, you see it from multiple perspectives and it is sad because I empathize with the sisters. But it is frustrating because it doesn’t feel like a satisfying revenge plot. Both emotions result in a disappointing series that doesn’t really give me a reason to read it.

A cliché but nice story of jealousy/revenge

I agree that it's the "I'll run away and you'll be sorry" story, but yep, they are.

There are plot holes :

- Why the real daughter didn't come back earlier since they found it a long time ago ? (That, or the first chapter is a bit messy in its timeline)

How could no one know that the father is useless in business and that it was the daughter who saved them ?

How could the father agree to let go of its golden goose ?

FL is the one running multiple business and bringing money, but everyone think that she won't last long "outside all alone" ?
Even though she is the one being the most in contact with the commoners ?

But well, it's not so bad.

The sister is an unfortunate collateral damage, but since the FL was always compared to her "so perfect sister if she was here", it's understandable that she doesn't hold any affection for her, especially since sister is simply her mother's daughter in the FL eyes.

ML seems nice, even though a bit crazy, but it was too late for her.

I can't wait to see all of their faces when they'll see that she is doing really well without all of them.

Also, I'm really happy that nothing screwed up her plans at the last minute.
It's pleasant to finally see one plan going without a hitch in this kind of manga.

FL is super rude; story is okay

FL needs to see a therapist. She sees everyone near her as happier than they ought to be and is jealous and angry over that fact. She goes out of her way to plot the downfalls of naive bystanders (eg half-sister, prince, etc) as well as conniving competitors (eg half-sister's mother, father, etc). For this reason, it makes it hard to get behind her plans as an audience when she spends time villifying bystanders who just happen to be part of the situation. And, since the story spends a little over 20 chapters within this theme, is it really worth your time reading....

The story theme changes slightly when she finally leaves her absusive situation, but do you want to read a story about a hide-n-go-seek search between an abused FL with a vindicative personality & everyone in high society that she willfully decided to leave. If so, this might be your story. If not, you have an understanding that nobody has an obligation to entertain the abusers of their past if they dont want to.
