What is it with these series that has such awful deus ex machina writing.
Also why is it in the newest chapters we have an enemy (even if family) that nearly killed someone precious to the ML and is clearly trying to kill him and the ML attempts to let him just go and ofcourse it backfires on the ML like no people aren't this retarded
Also the king discovers that a chosen person is needed and he's been exiled into the lower lands and for some crazy reason is like "Yeah ok family that exiled the chosen one for no reason we'll totes trust you to go rescue him" and even after multiple people have failed and time passed the King still hasn't sent anyone not linked with the clearly stupid family?
*Also it's almost insulting how we are now getting brother backstory to make us understand him and it's the most generic cliche crap. **Now with the final chapter before Hiatus complete we did indeed get a "Whoa be thy murderous brother" and somehow its the MC's fault on the mother? disgusting writing.
This series is written by Kijima Ryuuta who's doing several series at the same time:
The Weakest Occupation "Blacksmith," but It's Actually the Strongest
The Labyrinth Raids of the Ultimate Tank The Tank Possessing a Rare 9,999 Endurance Skill Was Expelled from the Hero Party
Happy daily life of a court blacksmith: I was banished from a black workplace, but I live a white life while being loved by the Duke's daughter in a neighboring country~
Outside of Ultimate tank I'm reading those other stories (so far) and they all suffer from the same issues of Deus ex machina writing, slow progression, terrible character writing (This Mangaka really loves dense characters it seems) and I feel like Court Magician is in response to Weakest Occupation Blacksmith as the characters are similar like its an otherworlder story almost.
So when I learned this was from the same writer it all fell into place, we have the same issues and blandness. I'll probably not touch anyother new series that he writes.
