Description

High school model Fujimori Manatsu's life comes to a screeching halt when confronted by a monster on the way home from school. She's narrowly saved by a buff, adept superhero woman... who also has a super-daughter?!
The superhero, Ultima Fang, senses something special about Manatsu, and implores her to join them in their fight against the Magra.

The volume version includes the extra oneshot "Friday is the Day", featuring a story about Tsubasa, a young martial artist, challenging Rinna, a significantly older woman, to a fight to settle some personal issues.

ULTIMATE-MAMA is a silly comedy-action yuri manga following a girl, a hot buff chick, and the hot buff chick's daughter(?!) working together to overcome a great evil. Perhaps it isn't the most complex plot, but I see no reason it would need to be -- she set out to create a funny superhero milf manga and she did just that. And there's two women with rock-hard abs in this. God bless Shizuru.

It's not a manga that will change the world or win any awards, but for idiotic lesbians like me, it hits the spot. Shizuru doesn't waste time with melodrama about being same-sex, instead replacing the usual fare with rapid-fire gags to keep you on your toes... in between scenes of gnarly violence and women kissing each other.

ULTIMATE-MAMA is not particularly gruesome or explicit. There aren't up-close pussy shots during sex scenes or an excessive focus on sound effects and bodily fluids. Relationships may not develop too deeply, but the humorous repartee tying every scene together endears you to the cast and their couplings as adeptly as a gag-focused adult yuri manga can.

An amusing aspect is that, despite being published in a magazine that is fraught with lolicon, the specifically 18-year-old child-coded loli never falls into any sexual situations. It's like her age was to make the audience think "oh, she's going to get it on, here we go," but she doesn't. This manga is about lesbian milfs, you fool!

Coupled with the volume release is Hayashiya's oneshot Friday is the Day, which is about gay women beating the shit out of each other until they reach an understanding. Shizuru writes for a very specific audience and if you, like me, are that audience, you will be quite pleased with this one.
