I will premise that as of writing this, many people believe that the story has ended (while others are still holding out hope for a continuation). I would be lying if I said that I am satisfied by the ending, but I can also understand the direction the author was going for.
I enjoyed reading the story because it took the classic CEO x employee dynamic and flipped it around to talk about power dynamics, trust, and the meaning of love. I appreciated that the author took a standard trope and subverted our expectations for their characters and their relationships.
Story:
The story in general starts off pretty lighthearted but delves deep into some serious issues that the characters are working through. There are various characters and a few side-plots, but the story mainly focuses on President Mo and Secretary Xiao. Like Pompina Q states in their comment, I definitely think it's written more as a slice of life than a romance.
Characters:
The two main characters are pretty well developed (though there are still a few unanswered parts of their stories as of the ending at chapter 82). Their motivations and actions are reasonable, and I really rooted for them, especially Mo Yanchuan. There are various side characters and subplots centered around them, but they don't lead anywhere.
Art:
I really liked the art and the character designs. There are quite a few cinematographic frames and their facial expressions were portrayed well throughout the story.
Ending:
In short, the ending felt super rushed, like the series was axed. There was no indication of a proper ending coming, nor does the final chapter (chapter 82) have anything that resembles a "Thank you for reading" or "Finale". The story was left open-ended, with many issues presented within the plot left unresolved. I, myself, was quite disappointed when I found out this could possibly be the finale, but I also appreciate what I believe the author was trying to do:
it's a story about what could have been, but the characters are only human so they miss the opportunity to achieve their perfect ending.
It's a relatively happy, if bittersweet, ending. However, given this, I still believe the ending is rushed, because of how it is written compared to the rest of the story.
Nevertheless, I recommend reading this, knowing that the ending will not be the classic perfect ending. I will also say that even though this story is not rated 18+, there are a few scenes that strongly imply sexual acts, so take that what you will.
