Description

Dan-oh is an ordinary high school student experiencing some not-so-normal things. Days seem to pass in the blink of an eye, her memory's gone fuzzy, and she might be hallucinating. What’s going on? Turns out she's a character in a popular romance comic! But no, she's not the main character—she's an extra with a terminal heart condition, engaged to a childhood friend who doesn't love her and will eventually dump her. Frustrated by her limited time, Dan-oh sets out to find her true first love.

Absolutely in love and obsessed with Dan Oh and Haru. Literally obsessed. obsessed. BRUH THEYRE SO ROMANTIC. THEY ARE LITTERALLY THE STANDARD KILL ME. Also the angst was hitting just right in this like, I adore the doomed love trope (dw they still worked out)

Stuck in a comic

A simple idea stretched to existential dread and trying to love each other in shitty circumstances. The second male lead (I can't remember his name) deserves better than either girls, the one the plot forces him with and the protagonist of this story. It's great but I think sometimes the plot needs more than just being sad that we're in a comic.

Beautiful and lovely and unique

I put off reading this for quite a while because the title and cover didn't really look interesting to me. Now that I have finished reading it, I'm honestly quite shook.

The art is so goddamn beautiful and the plot flows so smoothly I just let myself sit back and enjoy the ride.

I also loved the MC's attitude and how she stays true to her character from beginning to end.

And the romance! It's very cheesy sometimes, but daz ok. Considering the sh*t the author puts them through, I suppose they deserve all the cheese in the world.

Negative:

The ML's face looks so feminine that I sometimes mistook him for a girl.

Overall, this was a very refreshing read. Highly recommended!

I watched the drama first before reading the webtoon. Glad I decided to read it instead of watching the last episode. The artstyle is super awesome and beautiful that I would stare at my screen of how gorgeous it is. I love the characters how they would fight and stand up for themselves. I'll also give the story arch a 10 since it is quite unique. I'd totally recommend this to people who doesn't like cliché characters and predictable outcomes.

It feels like the author is hinting another webtoon coming up that would somehow directly connect the "book" like how Twelve Nights is connected to this. I'd definitely reread this someday.

How did this one fly under the radar....

Jeeze, all I can think about right now is "I came looking for copper, but I found gold!". This is a short manhwa that you can finish in a day (and I'm so thankful for that. I was getting tired of waiting eternity for Korean masterpieces to finish lol).

Where do I begin? Plot, art, characters, dialogue, flow...everything about this was extraordinary. Truly a gem and such a fun read. Not cliche at all!! We'll always be a helpless reader hoping for an x,y or z outcome. A lot of the times, the creators give in to make his/her readers happy; who wouldn't want a happily ever after? We don't get that here and this makes it bittersweet, but I'm truly happy at how the creator tied everything up in the end...The last chapter? CHILLS. To see the plot unfold...to see the characters become self aware...you couldn't help but root for them, especially the MCs.

No wonder this got picked up as a Korean Drama (called Extraordinary You, however, it doesn't follow the manhwa exactly).

EDIT: OMG this was the creator of Twelve Nights?! THAT EXPLAINS SO MUCH!

Ok wow, this is absolutely amazing and adorable. I had avoided it at first thinking it was gonna be your average cheesy weak heroine shou, but boy was I FN wrong.
Side note: I didnt event realize this was written by the author of Twelfth Night until I looked to see what else the authors done, and honestly not surprised. The author is a really amazing one💘

If you are a girl at heart, this is one series that must be included in your list! In terms of art, story, characters, everything was done beautifully. A good surprise for me when I realized it was written by the same author of Twelve Nights. One of my favs years ago because how beautifully drawn the webtoon at that time.

Isn't just a typical shoujo romance

I went into this skeptical that it was a cheesy shoujo, but it really blew me away. Definitely worth a read.

It's refreshing to see a story actually stick with and make good use of a unique premise. The unique part of this is that (very minor spoiler, basically in the description)

the MC is forced to perform certain actions and is only conscious during small snippets of her life because she's a character in a story.

It's pretty interesting watching her deal with it and try to become her own person and pursue her own romance despite this. I've seen many works where they just use the premise to lure you in and trash it once the introduction's over, but this actually sticks with it and makes good use of it.

I also like the MC's spunk, she knows what she wants and she proactively tries to get it. I've seen so many works where the MC's a dithering sloth, perpetually uncertain about what they want or unwilling to pursue it because they have the spine of a jellyfish, so this has been really refreshing in that aspect as well.

The translation quality's good too, which is always nice.
